I'm a roll-your-own guy used to Top and sometimes Bugler. I bought a can of Top May 1st and just opened it yesterday. The nicotine content was far lower than normal and the tobacco had a strange almost cinnamon taste/smell. Today i went to Wal-Mart and bought two packs each of Top and Bugler. Both had the same taste/smell and lack of nicotine. In frustration, I went to Seven Eleven and bought two packs of American Spirit cigarettes (full flavor) and find the same smell/taste and low potency.
Does anyone else notice a sudden change in cigarette quality or taste? Was there a bad crop this year? Did all the good tobacco go overseas?
