The obvious concern is the editorial policy when it comes to reporting on any of the Cablevision entity. If that mirrors to what the MSG network reporters can say about their team sports entities, it will no longer be fair and balanced reporting.
It currently happens with the News Corp. entities...

Did I say I was in favor of Mr. Murdoch? Randy from Baltimore wrote: <quoted text> Therefore, you would have approved of Murdoch's owning the paper? Murdoch, who already holds two other rags and two TV stations, as well as several cable networks? Ah, but the rules are different for old Rupert, aren't they? And whenever the rules get in his way, he'd just browbeat the FCC or Congress to change them for his sole benefit. America has dodged a major bullet here.

Why wait? Cancel your CVC triple play now and go with VZ's triple play. Much better. No_Ragday wrote: Hey Go Cablevision Go, I don't care who owns ragday, I won't read it until those anti white, anti police, anti catholic, anti VOLUNTEER firefighter, anti Jewish liberal @zzzzzaawipe editors (starting with racist #1...Les Payne) are fired. And I will cancel my triple play with Cablevision if they don't clean house ASAP. F U C K Ragday.

Maybe the reason it's not out of business, or bankrupt, and the fact they have 3M subscribers is because they've been a monopoly for the past 40 years. Hmmm. Brentwood wrote: <quoted text> No, I am neither an employee nor have family in the company. But I am sick of people who badmouth big companies like Cablevision, Microsoft, etc. It's like you're jealous or something. You fear large and successful companies. Put it this way, if Cablevision was so bad- it would be bankrupt and out of business. That's the way business works. You have to satisfy the customers. Do you think it's a coincidence that they have 3 million subscribers? Or do they all hate Cablevision like you but have a gun to thier head to stay? Same with these stupid Newsday bashers. People come on here and bash Newsday journalists, etc, yet still read it. Hypocrites.

Mr. Brentwood: VZ FiOS = voice, 20mb Internet (more than CVC), all fiber, all digital (better than CVC)=$95. FiOS is a far better deal. TV service Brentwood wrote: <quoted text> What about FIOS? They can operate without Cablevision you moron. You do not know what you're talking about. Why hasn't FIOS taken over the Island?? Why hasn't it come out years ago?? No one can compete. I looked into FIOS' pricing for internet and their fastest package which matches Cablevisions costs triple the price. Literally. Look it up.

Too bad you don't know how to read the specs on FIOS, and don't know what advantages a protected monopoly like Cablevison has. So, stick with your low quality, low-tech converter box to get digital content, and watch the lag time for it to access channels, pay more for less and live in ignorant bliss. The best quality is dish (1080p, as opposed to FIOS and Cablevision at 1080i). For internet, phone and TV, FIOS makes more sense economically.
