Check that the parameter "auto downgrade" are ticked in. You will find it under a sub menu of SU pages in craft.

If you are measuring throughput using TCP/IP, you are most likely to encounter problems with BW due to the TCP behavior in systems introducing latency and BW limitations. See ref: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bufferbloat
and: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bandwidth-delay_...

MINI-LINK TN have adjustable buffer sizes, configure them incorrectly will affect the TCP throughput. I doubt that you will find similar settings in other vendor equipments.
Measure with not stateful (not TCP) traffic at L1 will remove this BW limitation due to effects described in references above.

hi UNO,
thanks for response..
In AMM 2PB i was using only npu3b and no other card,
and i was getting software upgrade failed...
yup may be they have blocked the degrade for 4.4.
since the place we are working is a multi vendor platform, transmission is of Ericsson and BTS(Wimax) is of huewai.
so thats the reason they r playing blame game..regarding speed.
Also,we are not provided wid any measurement tool/equipment to troubleshoot.
i am interested in layer 1 speed.
anyways
thanks for your time and consideration.
Hi,
I had the same problem!
Which kind of npu3b have you?
I tryed to downgrade to R19A08 the NPU3B Hw rel r2b unsuccesfully.
You can see on the post of 15 April my problem and the answer of UNO, the problem is inside the hardware of npu3b not in the 2p.
You can read the compatibility of sw directly on the little paper inside the box of npu.
For the point to point lan test i still use one instrument for RFC2544 cat5 with loop in the far end.For the cat 6 G-ETH you must to use two instrument.
I'm according with the UNO explication about lan configuration of npu, for the lan test with two computer..........
I'm sorry but i can't help you
Good luck!

I have found a line in the 4.4FP compatibility now, that states that NPU3B HW release R2B and higher, requires SW release 4.2FP.3, 4.3FP.1, 4.4 or higher.

So the R18 and R19 will not work at all since they represent 4.3.1 and 4.3.2.

The following or higher should work fine then:
4.2FP.3, load module revision: R16E02
4.3FP.1: R20B03
4.4 : R21A27

What do you need to know, i will probably be able to dig up some things but not all.

Mainly it's a new HW due to Synchronous Ethernet, I don't have the release not available today.

Hi Uno,
I'm going to install the new unit on two sperimental 6p for test the performance.
At the moment I haven't information about the difference.
Probably is the same difference between NPU1B and NPU1C but in the small size.
I'm waiting from local Ericsson rappresentative.
Thanks

Actually the NPU1C have more similarities with the NPU3B than the NPU1B.

NPU3C is a bit upgraded both HW and SW vice and have support for synch Ethernet. Config files can be moved from NPU3B to NPU3C, but not vice versa.

Other than this, I do not find much more that will differ between NPU3B and C.
You are probably not going to see any difference except for SynchE support.

Hi, I have a problem
I have compiled two links with each other, one is the CN210 and the other on the CN500.
Cisco 6500 -> CN500 *** radio link *** CN500--- ethernet cable ---- CN210 ********* radio link********CN210---ethernet cable ----> Cisco 2950
The problem is that the Cisco 6500 show only one MAC address (mac address of 2950) I connected to the 2950 few Routerboard Mikrotik and Cisco 6500 does not see them mac address. Earlier I had CN210 --- CN210 ----CN210 ----Cn210 and it was all ok.
any suggestion?

Can you give some more to work with here.
Are you using L1 or L2 connection for instance?
I am not sure on top of my head if the CN500 even have support for L2, but I need to know if you have the same settings throughout the system.
And I would like to know if Cisco setup to use L1 or L2 or if you tag/untag at the MINI-LINK LAN UNI:s etc.

configuration is the same at both of link

Cisco works on Layer2,

port configuration on c6500
switchport mode trunk

on c2950 is also trunk

my uplink port is LAN 1/2/5 and is connected to Layer1 Connection with WAN 1/2/100 so i must set Port Role at Switch port 5 to UNI or I-NNI?
my managment port is LAN-DCN 1/2/3 what Port Role set in this port?

Are we still talking about a CN500 node here?
I hope you know that one major difference between CN500 and 210/510 node are that 500 does not have an Ethernet switch (802.1Q), only a bridge function (802.1D).

You have right;) my mistake
my hops looks like this
cat6500---CN210***radio***CN21 0---CN500***radio***CN500----C isco2950 and few mikrotik routerboard

with all CN500 everything was ok, when i replaced one hop to CN210 then i have only one mac on C6500

I'm new about this;)

CN210 is no full configured, I only add to layer1 connection my uplink port LAN 1/2/5 and WAN 1/2/100
I guess that I need to activate ethernet switch on CN210 but I don't known how to set up ports.
Can You explain me how to do this ? maybe some clues :)
Best Regards

Are you planning to use the L2 switch in the 210 nodes at all?
If not, I would recommend you to setup L1 connection to make life easier for you. It will behave more like the CN500. Don't configure any Ethernet switch or ports, only L1 all the way.
I am a bit puzzled though that you even get the 2950 MAC address visible at 6500 if you have miss configured the 210 nodes.

If you want the L2 switch active there will be some configurations needed like VLAN:s and define UNI/NNI etc.(Usually I would recommend UNI at the L2 edges and NNI at WAN and or internally in the L2 switched network)
You will also need to know whether or not to tag your traffic and what QOS settings to use.
Later releases of MINI-LINK do not have any default VLAN:s, so you will need to define them to get connectivity in L2 switches.

BTW
I just realized here that you might be almost there with an L1 setup fro CN210.
Have you clicked on the layer1 label in the left?
There you will find a configuration choice to connect the LAN layer1 with the WAN layer 1. After that I guess you will get it working.
Don't understand how you even got the 2950 MAC visible before this.

Test this:
1.Disable firewall and proxy.
(Probably a proxy issue)
2.Try to open a IE towards the same node and page.

Do you mean that the alarm is active although traffic is running ok?
Try warm restart of the node.

There are no way to make a specific clear of Dmod alarm.
