My name is CJ Solomon and I live in St. Clair Township which is Seven Mile and work at the Monroe Post Office as a letter carrier. I am currently in college studying for my Business Management degree and I have a paper to write on Organizational Change and I chose your company to write about. If you do not mind, I have a few questions or you can explain what I have written below.
Select a corporation that has changed from a traditional organizational model to a transformed organizational model in the last five years. Identify how the changes impacted the company's diverse workforce and two external stakeholder(e.g. local community, labor unions, customers) Discuss how the skill workers and management must develop to accomodate the changes and support systems in place to assure the changes are successfully implemented. Your cooperation will be greatly appreciated. Thanking you in advance. My e-mail address is (solomonsolo3@aol.com)

Here are some suggestions, look at industries that are in transition, then you can select a company or corporation that has re-engineered itself for the future.
Steel industry is definitely in transition and has been for the past several years. AK, once the bright star in the mid 90's, now lags the industry. Significant changes have been made commencing with top management changes two years ago.
Other industries to look at would be the "old line" automotive companies, GM, Ford, Chrysler and what they are doing to deal with newly transplanted automobile companies in the US.
Some other companies migh be Xerox (firms no longer send out mountains of printed reports-done by e-mail), Pitnet Bowes, makes postage machines, what impact has e-mail had on regular posted letters, etc.
Film manufacturers, like Kodak, today, Digital Cameras have made tremendous inroads and will only grow.
Just some thoughts.
Hope it helps.

WHY DO YOU GUYS (LOCKED OUT AK STEEL WORKERS), HAVE SO MUCH ANIMOSITY TOWARDS THE REPLACEMENT WORKERS. THEY'RE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR THE LOCKOUT. AND JUST LIKE YOU GUYS ARE HAVING FINANCIAL PROBLEMS NOW, SOME OF THEM WERE PROBABLY IN THE SAME SITUATION BEFORE THIS OPPORTUNITY. I'M PRETTY SURE IF THE SHOE WAS ON THE OTHER FOOT AND YOU NEEDED A JOB, AND AN OPPORTUNITY LIKE THIS WAS OPEN TO YOU, YOU WOULD JUMP AT THE CHANCE TOO, TO FEED YOUR FAMILIES, AND PAY YOUR BILLS. SO ALL OF YOU NEED TO REDIRECT YOUR ATTENTION TO THE PEOPLE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE LOCKOUT. NOT THE "SCABS"!!!

Just Wondering, I have to disagree with you. I come from a long line of union workers, coal miners and steelworkers. When employees are "locked out" they are basically kicked out of the building. It was not their choice to leave and be replaced by unskilled, lower wage workers. I have to say that when my grandfather was "locked out" for 19 months at the aluminium company he worked for, "scab" workers were brought in. In my opinion the "scab" workers deserve the animosity from the "locked out" workers. The "scabs" are making it easy on the company to contine the "lock out". If there were no "scab" workers, then the company would be more likely to negotiate a contract and put the union workers back to work. I personall, would never cross a picket line. I have more respect for those who are "locked out".
