Rolled Steel Joists Structural Integrity after a fire Question

Dear Steel Forum Members,
If RSJ's have been in a fire for 13 hours, hot enough to melt gold and silver, but the paint is still intact on the RSJs and they have not noticeably bent; do you think the structural strength of the RSJs will be the same?
PS: I'm not a member nor a steel specialist, just someone who's in-law's house has been devastated by fire and I'm trying to ensure the Insurers make an appropriate repair of the house. Currently, they are not proposing to replace the RSJs as the paint has not completely burn off.
