Thank Providence, Microsoft didn't get Yahoo, they would have mucked it up, just like everything they touch.

Yeah, it's the mess called www.msn.com , that's why they had to go outside. It's what Microsoft does when it can't compete. It buys it competition off as it attempted to do with Quicken but fortunately was stopped by the feds. |

Oh well, I guess it was a good try for the growing company. Besides, Yahoo is trying too hard to be a bigshot like Google to give up now.

Microsoft withdrawing it's bid for Yahoo is coitus interruptus for the internet.

1 . Microsoft already wants to control the world, so could you imagine that? And just like Shell oil has those commercials to have you think they are an environmentally friendly company (while they massively pollute Nigeria), the volunteer work Billy and his wife do is "very selectively picked" with strong political connections. Great they put money to some funds, but that money could be put to better use in Africa. . I'm sick of all the Micro$oft crap and I will buy a Mackintosh as my next computer even if it costs me more. |

Maybe instead of being an even bigger monopoly, maybe they could help out the economy more?

If you don't care don't use any Microsoft items or use yahoo.com . |
|
Microsoft keeps bragging about how "innovative" they are. If their product is so good, why can't they compete? Why do they have to keep buying the competition? Take away the operating system monopoly, and Microsoft doesn't look viable at all...

Yeah, I heard about that. I'm glad MS pulled out. I'd hate to see Yahoo! owned!!!!!
Plus this was all a big fight for MS to get ahead of Google in the Search Engine wars. |
While so many eyes are focused in this issue, the Miley Cyrus controversy or what have you, America is under terrorist attack at this moment, and how many of you know that right now? A former president of the American Cancer Society and at the present moment calling himself "chancellor" on the 75th anniversary of when Adolf Hitler became Germany's chancellor, has just successfully muscled his way into a position that allows him to have complete carte blanche over all our laws, including the United States Constitution. And he has already begun a course of massive destruction while all your attention is focused elsewhere. This is a very dangerous new development I'm describing here, and I'm not sure what to do about it, while believe me when I say it matters. The person I'm referring to, or fast-surfacing monster I should say, his name is Dr. Robert Young, and he is currently affiliated with the Fox Chase Cancer Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. And when it comes to America's countless politicians, not a single one dares to say no to him, not even President Bush. And the media is petrified from telling the truth about him as it needs to be told. If you Google to try to find out more information about him, please be advised that there's a lot more to this man than anything you'll find there. For truth be said, he is very very dangerous, and he has already begun what he ultimately seeks to do, while America lies sleeping, or distracted by totally trivial things in comparison, such as Microsoft making a bid to buy out Yahoo but then changing its mind. |

I'll continue to use both. People shouldn't be shocked, the merger was destined to fail, I knew that after Microsoft refused to raise the price, and Yahoo's investors wanted more money. |
