Of course some sicko in the family or related to the family put the toddler in the trunk of the car. A 2 year old does not climb into a trunk and then closes it.

This will turn into a huge trial with all sorts of theories. More fodder for the news stations.

Meanwhile, poor poor little one. What a horrible way to die. Every way is horrible but to put a little one in the locked trunk of a car during a heat wave is particularly sickening. I hope they find who did this and finally find someone guilty of a crime. The death penalty is too good for the animal who did this.

May G-d forever bless and keep Isaiah's soul. Amen

Apparently you know exactly how every two year old kid will behave without question.

Now, I personally knew this little boy and I still know his parents. This little boy was most certainly capable of crawling into the trunk of a car by himself. And to take that a bit further, would very likely do it. He was an incredibly inquisitive and adventurous little boy who liked working in the garage with his dad. On many occasions when I was on-site, this little boy could be seen playing with the car keys and crawling inside the vehicles.

I know from experience, being a little boy myself once, that a trunk has a certain cave-like hiding spot appeal to it. I never got myself trapped in the trunk of a car but I most certainly found myself trapped in other confined spaces while playing hide-n-seek with my siblings. All it takes is a simple mistake and just like that, you're trapped.

If you are gonna speak out about something in this case. Maybe shake your finger at the parents for neglect but know this, they both LOVE that little boy and are still struggling with his death to this day.

I wonder what would have happen if the Polk CO Sheriff's Dept. had used a search/tracking K-9 right away? I mean right away...not after a day or so. This child could have been saved if there was a plan by law reinforcement or fire rescue for this kind of thing. They have or will have a plan soon...I'll make sure of that. Nice job Ray Joy...good idea to retire after this big mess.
