I say we lock her up for a few days without food or water. A person who can hurt an animal, & she knew the dog was starving EVERY HOUR of EVERY DAY, and she did absolutely NOTHING?!!! Those type of people become serial killers. Everybody knows that serial killers start out by harming & killing animals. Did she get a thrill out of this? I am sure the dog barked, howled, whined and cried in distress prior to giving up on the fight to die.... I do not understand how this went unreported during all that time.
This is insane.... we have got to fight for harsher consequences for such behaviors. There were so many options available to her, clearly this issue regards neglect and abuse and I am sure we will soon play the game of her having psychological issues... its just the system.

I feel broken inside just by reading this article, this woman deserves nothing,$1000 bail? you got to be kidding me!!!! this is why people do what they do over and over again, there are no consequences to their actions or the consequences are minimal. She should be confined and deprived of the bare necesities for a while, then set the cage in a room where people meet to eat some delicious food in front of her, perhaps behind a glass not to disturb the others, that would make her go crazy(er). I cannot understand how humans can be so evil, especially with animals and children, I am thinking it might be a "power" issue after all children and animals usually can't do much against this types of attacks.
When we decided to move to Florida, one of the first things we thougth of was how we were going to travel with all our kids (back then 2 cats and a dog), many people thought we should just leave them or give them away, after all it was too long of a drive and "there were cats and dogs in Florida", I was ashamed for them to be saying things like that. I bottle fed both cats, and I rescued my dog from the SPCA, what for? so I could abandon them when it wasn't convenient? NO WAY!!! we accomodated and transported our pets with no much trouble, they slept most of the way, we stopped every so often for feedings and their necessities, we slept at a friends house half way down and they behaved beautifully...I guess I should have given my baby away too hah....

Considering how the dog looks upto his owner this is disquesting. German Shepards are the best breed of dogs their is.

Taking her dog somewhere safe would've been the best thing to do, but since she didn't I can see her leaving her baby in a toilet
