Law aims to protect kids from online predators

With a few clicks on a keyboard, any child can end up heading down a dangerous road on the Information Superhighway.

only in nys!!!!!! do they honestly think this will work. how about signing a bill that charges the parents with a felony for letting their kids to be exposed. not like they cant make up an alternate screen name and or email address. how about signing a bill to LOWER GAS PRICES!!!!!!

It is absolutly stupid. It all boils down to your own kids & how responcible you as parents are at monitoring the site YOUR KIDS GO TO! It is not just the "So Called Predators who are to blame but your own kids" They should know better than going to inappopiate sites to begin with.

I disagree Bill, the PREDATORS do not belong in society let alone on the internet, do you have children if so are you interested in protecting them or letting them fend for themsleves?

Yes Ma'am I have kids. But I know alot of parents who let theeir kids run wild on computers looking at very inappopriate web sites. Now you tell me. Who is responcible for what they view! You Are! yes weird people use the computers for very vulgar stuff But again it all boils down to keeping an eye on your kids what they watch & where they go. You as a parent have a duty to keep you kids safe. So if you some kid is on line chatting in a chat room he knows better than to do & something happens? Guess what you your self can get into trouble for allowing that.

I disagree too, preditors are called that for a reason, we could watch our kids and a "predator" will wait until a back is turned or an eye is blinked and do what he or she wants to do, so the answer is to try and stop this before a child is lured again. These people are adults with the knowledge of how to manipulate children into doing what they want them to do. THAT'S what needs to be stopped, whay do people blame the parents all the time?? I don't get it, we should be able to live how we want to live without having to worry about this bad element.
