It just takes a little bit of common sense to protect yourself while using technology. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out what you should/shouldn't do.

Does anyone know if this Hudson girl will have to register as a sex offender because she's a child porn distributor?

If the Hudson school district would kick up the funding to about $18000.00 per student per year like the Minneapolis school district their student population would be smart enough to know this without further reminders.

these issues are the least of our worries. If a kid gets a nude picture they will likely laugh it off and that is the last you will hear of it. The real problem is the cell phone, blackberry, IPod, texting till you drop while behind the wheel of a vehicle. I would bet that 18 year old that hit the semi up on HWY 8 was involved in an electronic thing of some type when he crossed the line and killed the other innocent victim. People should be shouting in the streets how mad they are about people doing everything but driving. The general public is at a huge risk here. Forget the silly stuff and concentrate on our real problems. Those of us who are victims of these out of control kids know the real truth out there. With less than effective parenting going on this problem will grow and grow. Look out people. Let's at least make the legal driving age 21 and see if that helps. That truck driver's family would thank me for saying this.
Peace.

You're right. People who talk and drive are incredibly dangerous, but people who TYPE and drive ... CRAZY!

I found pictures of naked boys (including close ups of their genitals) on my junior-high-aged daughter's cell phone. Apparently the boys sent them to her and other girls in their class as part of a new age flirting ritual.

So, I reactivated one of my old cell phone THAT DOESN'T HAVE CAMERA/PICTURE CAPABILITY, and THAT is now my daughter's cell phone.

Giving kids phones with camera/picture capability is just asking for trouble.

I agree totally that we need more laws to stop people from talking and texting while driving. The latest step by the Legislature to reduce teen driving privileges is a first step in the right direction. But this is not the focus of this story. This is a story about child porn, not driving.

Will this girl and these boys be forced to register as sex offenders now wherever they live? This only seems logical for what distributing child porn like they have. We need to know where these dangerous types of people live so we can keep our children away from them.

Those registries would quickly become rather useless if every teen who took such naughty pictures, or had them on their phone, or posted them on myspace/facebook had to register!

After all, almost every kid in this country, if not the world, has done something like that!
