Well for one thing this wouldn't have happened!!There is no reason why the parents shouldn't have been there.Afterall it is there house.

I suppose the parents could have been at home, but there are just as many reasons that they could have been out. Your original statement was more in the vein of why weren't the parents watching these girls, who certainly shouldn't need to be baby-sat at their ages.
