What?! That is the stupid comment of the day. The parents should have to serve community service for something their kids did? Where did you come up with that? First of all, they didn't do anything wrong, so get that right. We have freedom of speech for a reason and no one should be punished because of it. You cannot always side with the school because sometimes they are wrong. Having a one-sided one-view mind is how we lose our rights you idiot. Wake up, these students made fun of their teacher outside of school, who hasn't? They got caught doing it but now they want to take action, which is not right. You don't belong in this country if you don't beleive what we stand for.

You are a drama queen.
In a point in time when MOST parents LEAVE it to the school systems to do the disciplining, you would actually criticize people holding ANY party accountable? The first amendment protects underage drinking and truancy huh? Also, walking out of school causes a disruption to the WHOLE school. I had one back in high school that me and a friend organized. It was under the pretense that we were "protesting" budget cuts, but, get real. It was a beautiful day. Kids will use ANYTHING as an excuse to walk out of school. They got suspended at least I am sure of it. |

I am fine with holding the kids accountable but the parents? That is stupid. Plus they are not under their supervision at the time. You if agree that the parents should be at any fault then you are no smarter.
Who said anything about underage drinking? While I do agree that walking out is a big disruption and is usually just to get out of class, it is still a pretty big statement. I can see being suspended, okay but anything beyond is over the top. Suspended for walking out, for posting things on a non-school website, that has no relation.

Although I do not dissapprove punishment of students for unlawful actions, what they do outside of school is completely ultra vires of the school board. They are undermining police jurisdiction by doing this.
In this regard I believe it is completely reasonable for them to protest the school board's decision, however in keeping with the philosophies of MLK, if they are going to organize a legitimate peaceful protest they should be prepared to live with the punishment for the actions undertaken in that protest if any. |

Congrats you said nothing here, well done.
