Firm to add Mooresville plant, 50 local jobs
A Greensboro-based maker of wireless communications circuits plans to add 300 jobs at its Guilford County campus and 50 jobs at a smaller, $15 million facility it is opening in Mooresville, Gov. Mike Easley announced today.
RF Micro Devices is a global leader in wireless technology with $1.02 billion in reported revenue in its 2007 fiscal year, which ended in March.
Founded in Greensboro in 1991, the company considered several sites, including expanding a plant it owns in China, before deciding to grow in North Carolina, Easley said in a news release. The company already employs 2,200 people in Guilford County, he said. Read more
