Easier to get here??? You obviously do not understand the whole picture. How much population do you want in this country. Your roads are crowded enough? How's your water supply??<quoted text>
I agree in part with your premise. Ultimately I think we need to make the immigration process easier and treat those already here with some compassion.
I also agree that we should try to address the reason these folks come here. But it would be nieve to think we can fix these other countries any more than can fix the middle east. And even more nieve to think we can stop the flow of migrants. My concerns are fairness, documentation, security and the prevention of exploitation.
Immigrants who enter illegally are subject to exploitaton and abuse. They hurt the economy and put a drain on our healthcare and welfare sytems.
In addition it is simply not fair to the millions of folks who come to the US legally jump sit as long as 13 years and spend thousands of dollars in legal aide to obtain citizenship.
Contrary to the PC belief not every person coming over the border is here to make a better life. Many of these undocumented folks have criminal records and are not good people. Failing to control our borders can and does increase crime and puts us at great risk of terrorism.
I think we should make getting into the US easier but make living here undocumented intolerable.
I also think it should be a felony to rent or sell property to an illegal or undocumented worker. Medical care should only be given in life threatening situations. Organizations and churches that harbor illegals should instead be set up to steer immigrants to the documentation process and if they continue to harbor illegals they should face criminal penalties and loss of their tax exempt status.

1 I'm saying that unauthorized migrants should be treated humanely. Humanely? What? Did I read your post correctly? I must run down and have my eyes examined! My Mom, a WWII Vets Wife, is in a nursing home she can't afford! We tried desparatly to take care of her ourselves but are unable to medically. That would have been the right thing to do and it tears us up we failed. When we applied for assistance at DHS the room was FLOODED with non english speaking hispanics, pregnant and with kids(meal tickets) running everywhere. More signs in Spanish than English advertising FREE MONEY and PROGRAMS. We were interegated for 3 hours and made to feel as if my MOM was the foreigner here illegally! DHS is about to change the law that states, My Mom cannot even have $50.00 a month for small little treats! NOW WHO IN THE "H E DOUBLE L" ARE WE NOT TREATING HUMANELY!!!! GIVE ME A BREAK!!!!!!!!!! |

And what have you been smoking? I know of many who abandon their children to relatives so that they can break our laws, 10 years later they cry it is inhumane to be deported because they have an anchor baby. Funny, they had no problem at all ditching the children born in their own land. Actually it isn't funny at all, they can use the babies born here to suck us dry, the ones in their own land are just burdens. |

1 I would like to make two observations here. 1) those who have a valid argument use it, those who do not use personal attacks. It is crystal clear which category you fall into. 2) Those who make assumptions based on little or no facts proves to the world that they are moronic idiots who would have to evolve a million levels before they even reached the intellectual capacity of an imbecile. It is also clear from all of your prior comments that this fits you to perfection. |

Thanks cayla99. There was no point in responding to ttt. I can't tell you how proud I am to have FOUR Parents that loved me enough to put my life before theirs.

1 Not a problem. I can deal with the idiots who make comments about me no matter how awful they are, but these attacks had no merit on the topic and were beyond cruel. Talk about inhumane. I happen to have two cousins who were adopted. I often wish my aunt and uncle had adopted me also lol. I know the youngest one had a 15 year old mother who tried to take care of him for 6 months and realized that she was not mentally or financially in a position to do right by him. She actually chose my aunt and uncle to be his new parents. I was visiting them at the time they adopted him and I still remember her tears running down her face as she handed her baby boy over for a better life. Sometimes the biggest and greatest gift a mother can give is to let go. His older brother was adopted as a 4 year old, both parents had been killed in a car crash with no living relatives. There are many reasons a child is put up for adoption, and NONE OF THEM are selfish. I believe that moron knows the truth, but was attempting to cut you deeply and that pissed me off. |

1 We are in a recession...how can we even consider amnesty...first thing we have to do is reduce our costs and not to our legal citizens. They have paid their dues. |

Yeah,me too. My brothers parents had to give him and two brothers away because they couldn't afford to feed them. He had rickets when our parents got him. I hate folks who treat adopted people like they are less. |

Dear Fed Up, cayla99 and other patriots. I'm attaching a link to a great site. Though we only have a couple of members, my Patriot friend spends countless hours adding to this site. Please feel free to read our stories and look around. We would love new members also. Tell her Molly sent you.

1 I posted your first link regarding the illegal that has all of the kids and has been here for 20 years. This is freakin unbelievable! I'm watching the IQ of this country drop like a thermometer in December. At this rate, the rest of us, should become MENSA club members in no time. |

Why Illegal Immigration is a Threat to the United States...And How Local Communities are Fighting Back
http://www.christianworldviewnetwork.com/arti... |

I was raised a passionate Catholic. There are some parts of this religion, as of late, that I do not understand though and have my personal experiences for these reasons. I'm furious that there are so many citizens that they could be helping, and so many that tithe that can't afford it. I'm furious that they are harboring these illegals at our citizens expense though we are expected to give "blindly" to this cause. I have completely stopped going to church over this as well as other reasons. My relationship with God has strengthened though and I feel him in my life every minute of every day.
The link you provided is refreshing. Though a Christian should help the less fortunate, God's Commandment of "Thou Shalt Not Steal" needs to be said first. I continue to believe "paying it forward" but each situation needs to be examined personally rather than bringing millions of people in all at once. Thanks for the link, and I do hope you join our little group. I've contacted the monitor and she is looking forward to your email. |
