Johnny Ho and eBay:“Westfield Ho!”

In their justified complaints about the way they are treated by eBay, many eBay merchants overlook the material point of the situation: ultimately, eBay does not want them as sellers on its marketplace. It has been clearly stated that Johnny Ho’s dream is to turn the eBay marketplace into the online “Westfield Mall” for the “leading retailers, brands and manufacturers of the world”. Realistically, that is unlikely to include a place for the great majority of merchants presently trying to sell stuff on eBay, professionally or casually, hence the clearly indifferent treatment that eBay is now dishing out to them.

Further, sellers are misguided if they think that, just because they pay fees to eBay, they are eBay’s “true customer”: eBay now is principally—and desperately—interested only in retaining the goodwill of buyers because it is by the numbers and goodwill of those buyer that Johnny Ho (in his dreams) hopes to attract and retain those “leading retailers, brands and manufacturers of the world” to his online mall.

Now, that is Johnny Ho’s stated plan; whether he can succeed in his dream, with the ever worsening reputations that both eBay and “PreyPal” are developing, is doubtful; will he destroy the eBay marketplace as we know it along the way? Probably. But, such destruction is of no concern to Johnny Ho and his gaggle of feathered friends with whom he aimlessly runs around in circles with all day in the eBay executive suite: they (as invariably they all do) have all well provisioned their lifeboats for the possibility of a foundering. The real question is, are all the small–medium sized merchants, that are still trying to make a living on eBay, yet making their plans for the post-foundering time, and are they now wearing their lifejackets 24/7?

Johnny Ho is a cretinous, narcissistic sociopath and apparently a nepotist too as he has boasted of having replaced 75 of the top 100 eBay executives with fellow cretins. Given the damage he has already done, and is continuing to do, to the eBay marketplace, I doubt even Carl Icahn can save eBay now, and he probably would not change that much anyway, but, in the meantime, it’s fun watching Icahn make Johnny Ho dance …

Finally, it’s nigh impossible to keep a track of all the deviousness, deceptiveness and unscrupulousness, or indeed, the criminal activity, of eBay Inc.; their unprincipled activities are so pervasive; one can only generalize and describe eBay as an equal opportunity fraudster: they will directly defraud, or will directly and indirectly aid and abet others to defraud, whoever they can, whenever they can, as long as they too can profit from such fraud. Indeed, eBay is probably the most unscrupulous commercial entity on the planet; eBay is—demonstrably—the greatest knowing and calculated facilitator of the most massive and endemic auction fraud on consumers that the world is ever likely to know and, doubtless, there will be a trickle down effect of similar criminal activity to their other operations. Anyone that “gets into bed” with eBay Inc. does so at their peril … http://bit.ly/11F2eas

Carl Icahn: Marc Andreessen's Conflicts On EBay Are 'Clear And Insurmountable'
http://www.businessinsider.com.au/carl-icahn-...

“One reason we were enthusiastic about buying Skype was that even though we thought it would be a tremendous standalone business, we also knew that for Microsoft and a number of other companies Skype would be an obvious thing to buy. We knew we’d always have the fall-back of selling to strategic buyers.”—Marc Andreessen—after the sale to Microsoft …

If Andreessen did indeed make that statement then it does appear damning. Further, it can be demonstrated that eBay Inc. is, beyond any doubt, a knowing and calculated facilitator of widespread auction fraud on the consumers of the world, and it would surely be naïve of anyone to think that eBay’s directors could be so uninformed that they were unaware of this oft reported and endemic criminal activity … http://bit.ly/11F2eas

It follows therefore that if anyone thinks that such people would not take any such opportunity to further enrich themselves, then they have probably spent far too much time in Wonderland—along with eBay’s Johnny Ho and Alice.

Directors may well recuse themselves from the decision making process in such situations of potential conflict of interest but, don’t kid yourself, such deals, and the dividing up of the spoils therefrom, will have been pre-determined in the executive washroom, well in advance of any formal board meeting …

eBay's fraud on its consumers

The fundamental fraud on consumers by eBay is eBay's demonstrably false claim to have “sophisticated and proactive” systems in place to control shill bidding fraud. Clearly, eBay has no such systems in place, and such a claim is therefore a "false representation for the purpose of making a gain” and that is effectively a criminal fraud on eBay users, a deliberate and outrageous deception on eBay’s great many trusting users, leading those users to believe that the warm woolly coats on their backs are safe when, in fact, eBay is leading them into the shearing shed where eBay’s wolves are laying in wait. Indeed, eBay has been tacitly aiding and abetting, and effectively encouraging such criminal activity since the year dot, and particularly so since Johnny Ho introduced additional anonymity for bidding IDs in 2008, for no other reason than to further obscure shill bidding fraud from which eBay profits handsomely, for example … http://bit.ly/11F2eas

eBay is an equal opportunity fraudster

eBay is only biased in favour of buyers when it suits their purpose. It’s nigh impossible to keep a track of all the deviousness and unscrupulousness, or, indeed, the criminal activity, of eBay Inc.; their unprincipled activities are so pervasive; one can only generalize and describe eBay as an equal opportunity fraudster: they will directly defraud, or will directly and indirectly aid and abet others to defraud, whoever they can, whenever they can—as long as there is a gain for eBay. eBay is probably the most unscrupulous commercial entity on the planet; eBay is—demonstrably—the greatest knowing and calculated facilitator of the most massive, endemic, auction fraud on consumers that the world is ever likely to know and, doubtless, there will be a trickle down effect of like criminal activity to their other operations. Anyone that does any form of business with eBay does so at their peril … http://bit.ly/11F2eas
