Corporate Greed Profile: Lowes CEO, Robert A. Niblock

Nov 22, 2009 Full story: www.lowesceo.com 107

THE HUMANITY!!!!!

In the bizarre world of corporate greed and selfishness that has come to define our times, Robert Niblock saw his income go UP 11% at the same time Lowe's income fell by 22% and our economy teters on the brink of a depression.

The top brass at Lowes were fully aware that 2008 would be a disaster so they decided to base their pay on easily achievable low-ball targets.

$6.6 million AND a private Jet Mr. Niblock made $6.6 Million Dollars last year while employees were laid off and their stock price fell through the floor. To add insult to injury, private Jets are mandated in his contract for safety, health and security reasons. Just like the Auto Industry, Lowes has yet to figure out that its executives can fly first class at a fraction of the price and save thousands of jobs a year for hard working people who are the back-bone of the company.

If you are so proud of your accomplishments, and feel you are the voice of reason needed to show the world how horrible Lowe's management is, why won't you use your real name? Obviously you aren't afraid of them, or worried about them shutting down your dwindling site. If your users don't have anything to worry about, then why don't you set the example and use your real name? You don't work for lowes, so you won't lose your job, and you obviously have nothing to worry about, because you have never done anything wrong, in your own opinion. So lets show those guys you aren't afraid, and use your name. Be bold, and your web users will surely think you are on the up and up. Otherwise it just seems fake and like you are hiding.

I wonder if they'd share. Unless of course it is already available as a public record.

Thanks for the tip, Bunks

For those of you who might have just joined us..........All of what I'm about to write is BS. All I ever write is BS. I don't address the facts, like my website losing 23 Lowe's employees their jobs, or Lowe's, or me being scared so bad that I poop my pants. Yep, I'm scared of Lowe's and scared of what the people would do if they knew who I really am.
Let me fill you in on the history of this feud. I am a stupid fat retarded internet troll with a faulty heart, bad acne, two toothless retarded children, no job, and I live in my Mom's old house in suburban Pennsylvania. I used to be a cashier at Lowe's but didn't have the skills to do the job or the mental capacity. I trolled the wrong people one time down in North Carolina, and they took me to court and one of them punched me in the face. I still haven't learned my lesson so I mess with these people.
Maybe I'll learn my lesson this time before I end up dead.
Hope that clears some things up.
And that's the truth.

No, Welfare created mentalities, no secure border and government corruption are what is destroying this country. Corporations are suppose to be greedy (make as much profit as possible), it's how capitalism works dumb ass.

Guys common. Enough of the beat up on the corporate guy. Put politics aside...There will always be CEO's to run these large companies and you know what they will be paid well for doing so. Keep in mind that a lot of those top guys that you are bashing are the ones responsible for building this great store. Heck ware else can you buy a http://counterdepthrefrigerator.org/" ; for under $1200. Let's just thank god that Lowes a strong enough company to survive. We are in the midst of the largest rescission that the United States has witnessed. Pull together and be supportive.

Lowes has cut so many incentives for the employees but the top brass keep getting paid hand over fist. It makes me sick. The company won't get better until Niblock is out.

Lowes is way too big to "Go down"
The economy will hurt it for awhile, but they are big enough to weather the storm.

I just hope my umbrella is big enough.

See how Lowe's deals with Disabled Veterans injured at their stores. According to their insurance man, Sean D. Goss, who represents Robert Niblock and Lowe's Home Improvement Warehouse d/b/a Lowe's Home Centers, inc., LOWE'S "HAS NO MED PAY INSURANCE AT ITS PREMISES".

I don't have a problem paying executives well, but when your employees cannot live on their wages ($10/hr) and they are getting 6.6M or higher per year, they have sent a strong message...we really do not care about you, we care about ourselves.

As I have said earlier-my SSEI bonus this last quarter was $150, their bonus last year was what % of their normal salary (100%??) and what % is $150 when you make $10/hour. Let's see,$10/hr x 40 hrs =$400/wk x 12 wks (1 qtr)=$4,800.$150 is about 3% of my salary before taxes.

The pay for executives compared to their underlings is way out of whack. And for those of you who say, "get promoted", to what? There is virtually no movement in stores (unless you consider the part time seasonal going to full time or dept transfers). If they take away some dept mgrs (like is the rumor) and reduced the number of ASM's...where is that opportunity to move up?

One of the questions on the infamous survey was, "do you feel Lowes utilizes your talents",(or something to that affect). Answer---NO. There are many people who are way more qualified to be managers because of their past experiences but you get passed over for the young buck who has only worked at Lowes and sometimes in ONE dept. No management experience, little real life experience outside of Lowes but who gets promoted? Young people out of the good ole boys club...drinking buddies.

Listen to the customers-what do they say about Lowes? "Can't find anybody, or they don't know anything about the dept they are in much less in dept where they have taken the customer, but we hire more red vests last year at what,$8-10/hour? You won't attract too many knowledgeable people at that salary and bonus.

Hopefully lots of people fill out that survey and answer the questions truthfully, "do you feel you are making enough money? How likely are you to leave? Do you feel your management gives you the tools to do your job etc." No, I am not making enough money, I am very likely to leave if I can find a better job(anything over $10 is a raise) and no, management is doing a lousy job giving you the tools to do your job. And, hopefully management will look at those answers and make necessary adjustments. I won't hold my breath though.
