What? Your town has 3, mine only has 1. But I didn't see either of our towns on the list. It's only 1 in Hartford, 1 in South Windsor, 1 in Fairfield, and I forgot the other one.

I think Starbucks got too big, too fast and over-extended themselves. Just look at how many stores they have across the country. No loss for me...never patronized a Starbucks. Just give me a cup of Joe at our neighborhood WaWa or Dunkin Donut -that is, if I don't have my single cup of java at home first. Their pricey and in today's weak economy, somethings got to go. Bye, bye, Starbucks.

I know it's wrong and I DO feel bad for people who will lose their jobs, but it has to be said. YAYYYYYY! Do we really need a Starbucks on EVERY corner in this state. Make coffee at home people!

Lately in my opinion Dunkin Donuts coffee tastes watered down so I have been going to the WaWa by my house but when I am in Glendale, NY I go to Starbucks I was happy that a location opened in Atlas Park now they are closing it? Low performing? It's not been open long enough for them to say that. That place is packed with shoppers I am always on a line even late at night. I will just go to the Howard Beach location then. They need a WaWa in NY the 7 elevens are worse than Dunkin Donuts.

Good, I hate that over-priced burnt coffee. There's a lot better ways to spend $4.00 than on a cup of Joe. (like a gallon of gas)

Well, you know what they say in the accounting world: "numbers dont lie"..
Besides, their coffee looks like motor oil and tastes like the bottom of the pot anyway.
Everybody's got to try and get a piece of the "morning" pie.

not surpeised. As a former starbucks mgr. I can tell you they're in trouble. They need to cut costs. First they are firing their longer term mgrs.(5 yrs. +) and then closing stores. But to get even they will need to double the store closures

Four bucks, or a buck and a half, it is still terrible tasting coffee. It's all the "nouveau rich" appeal. The same people pay 4 bucks for a bottle of water! Do you know what Evian is spelled backwards?
This Starbucks thing has just been a yuppie fad from the beginning.

Yes. Starbucks coffee is the best! I wish they had one closer to me. Tried to revert back to DD's but it's just not the same. DD's always has a bunch of kids that don't give 2 damns about getting the order right. It's annoying repeating myself 5 times before they get my order right. Never had that problem at Starbucks.

It's about time Starbuck's statrts closing some of these stores,
When I lived in the Bay Area ,I would go to Pete's Coffee
in Berckly and that was the best coffee I had, and it still rings though to today.

Other businesses have over-extended themselves as well, Home Depot, CVS, Walgreen's, Coldstone Creamery to name a few. They'll be next in line to start closing stores. There are anywhere between 3 and 5 of each of these stores within a 5 mile radius of me. Ridiculous.
