I'm damn tired of strip malls. I'm damn tired of corporate America carving up this country like a roasted pig. Places like Skips are priceless and fast becoming extinct. It is a shame. I've been going there since I moved to Lowell from Lynn two years ago and never had a bad meal or experience. I do not blame the owners, why wait before the bottom drops and get nothing for your hard work? My father-in-law held his Church breakfasts there. It was a staple in the community, it will be sadly missed.

I can't believe Skip's is closing! Not too many things you can count on these days, but Skips was one thing that was always there and always served good food ! My father took me there as a child and I take my kids there, it's tradition! It's a place where you go after the kid's baseball game or after church on Sunday for the best breakfast in town! It's not just a restrauant, it's a meeting place. You can walk in alone and bump inot 3 friends or neighbors and have a nice meal with them. There will be nothing special about Chelmsford after Skip's is gone. When you tell people that you live in Chelmsofrd, they always respond by saying, " Oh isn't that where Skip's Restrauant is ? "

The owners of this restaurant worked their butts off for two generations. Don't they deserve a happy retirement? Get a Life!

I'm very disappointed this has to happen. Skips has become a part of history in the community and I've always enjoyed eating brunch there. Thank you for all the memories!

To,Mr.,Burliss,+Mr.Gefteas, greetings i must state this; Farewell to skips Diner,;i am a former employee under your forefather;s; and others all i can says is when i was an employee i was always treated good bye the then owners and the bosses i remember, going to the "firing line" and getting A meal, and how can i forget the head cook whom used to pick me up and take me home to my door = no charge; i used to eat at #3;30 pm at the owl dinner i would catch my ride at the armory in lowell, ; thanks for all the times = good luck with your retirement and may god bless you and all your family amen

It is a shame when we have to lose something that means alot to people
Skips has been a meeting place for family and friends for many years
the years that my family lived in Chelmsford, Skips was the place to go to
When the ice cream stand was operating it was where you could get the best
items to cool off in the summer
class meetings----going on a trip ---meet at skips---get someting to go
everyone new where it was and had no questions on how to get there
It will be missed and I guess you could call it progress----but you will not find
the friendly, welcome,and home feeling as you do in skips as you do now,
and have felt in the past---this is one of the things that sets it apart from
the new, cold, unfriendly spaces of today

i dont think u really know what was going on george and fred had to sign a waiver of confidentiality. when ever any big sale like this happens they parties aren't allowed to speak about it. george and fred have been nothing but nice and real with us about this as some one who works at skips right now and is one of those 60 employees we support both of the owners and of course donna and mike. and oh yeah they never lied they told us it wasn't gonna be a mc donalds and its not

I use to work at skip's back in the day. Had a lot of fun times there! I will miss going in on the weekends. I wish George and Fred the best of luck in retirement.
