I hate to sound like a whiner here, and thanks to the DB for posting this, but when I see an article that has "unveiled" in the title, I'm kind o' expecting it to include at least one photograph.

Where's the photograph? You have pictures of that fish cop sleeping on the job in the back of that BMW covertible so why not pictures of an American legend?

I don't have any current photos, but here is a link to a photo showing the plane as when it crashed. I am pretty sure its the same one mentioned in the article. I believe it was named "The Swamp Ghost" which turned out to be prescient, considering where it crashed.

So back before tv was invented, I guess your life would have been simply empty just having to listen to words spoken on the radio and using your mind to "picture" the details. How soft our society has become! Somehow I think you'll makeit through this ordeal without a photo.

Awesome ! Thanks for the site. Now we have some idea of what the plane looked like.
The D.B. will one day get it together, hopefully.

Sounds like a great time with your imagination, but, today we have technology that allows us to get the full "picture". Grand kids wouldn't have a clue of what a WWII
plane looks like. A picture would have been nice.

p.s. Those blind dates must have been interesting using your imagination.

A picture is worth a thousand words, so where's the photo?
