It is about time that some action was taken by the Orchard Park police department against this animal. Chad Sweeney is a Sociopath who will one day kill someone if he isn't put in jail forever. He has raped girls, assaulted numerous people, and if you don't believe it ask around... better yet, call the OPPD and ask for your rights to public records for proof! You may also find him during the early morning hours on the corner by the restaurant he owns making lewd gestures to passing by motorists. I implore you to stay tuned to this mess... let's see if anything comes of it, or if OPPD will drop the ball once again!

It is sick how long this place has been able to operate. It is about time. Mike and Chad Sweeney are complete scumbags. They do drug women but mostly young girls. I hope these trash bags go to jail it is past due. And they are not rumors I know first hand, Mike beat a young girl to a bloody pulp and put her in the hospital. Put them away before they can get to anyone else.

I too have heard all of the stories and allegations. Most importantly, I have witnessed the Sweeney's assault on a man. The police and ambulance were called and the cops DID NOTHING!! The victim was taken away in an ambulance, and the cops just told the Sweeney's "to go back inside"... I have never gone back to that place, I cringe when I have to drive by! The corruption is DISGUSTING. So many people hurt, I hope this gets settled and those losers get what they deserve!! JUSTICE!

It appears that there are plenty of rumors floating around these days, and I've heard many myself. However I have been there at Lunch, Dinner, and at night on an occasion or two and have not witnessed anything more than the behavior that occurs in a bar! It is a restaurant and a bar correct! I witnessed a fight there once as well and to be perfectly honest it was two middle aged men antagonizing one of the staff and eventually a fight broke out. Anyways the point is OP is a small community and once the seed has been planted it is easy extrapolate these stories and rumors, especially when prominent OP citizens have an interest in eliminating a business. I am not defending the situation but I can say I have shared a beverage or two with both buffalo and OP PD at the bar and Ididnt exactly see anyone getting approached by their maybe some are making this more than what it is....A simple bar fight!! It happens all across OP but these are kept swept under the carpet for one reason or another...unless of course you behead your wife!!!

I'm sorry but I'm disgusted on how everyone is acting! You have nothing better to do than talk shit about bar owners! They are the nicest, kindest guys! These are all lies! All lies! I've never seen any of this stuff happen when ive been in there! You people are animals for actually shit talking! If you don't like the place don't go in! But let's be mature and grow up with all the lies and shit talking, were not 10!

Why people feel the need to talk about a great restaurant is beyond me. I have been to mias,(both locations) many times, for lunch, dinner, and late night. I have found the staff to be very social and pleasant. The owners have always been very kind and appreciative of their business and customers. I do not understand why people feel the need to ruin a good thing because of petty nonsense that occurs at all bars. It is such a shame people have to ruin a good thing for everyone by spreading vicious lies and malicious rumors throughout a community, you should all be ashamed of yourselves, Michael and Chad are both very nice honest guys!

I have had lunch a numerous amount of times at the O. Park Mias and I have meet Chad. In my expereances there they have all been nice and I have never had a problem. Two of the owner have baught me drinks and on a few occasions Chad has picked up the tab for my lunch. No matter what happens with there licence I will continue to eat there. All of the negative comments I am seeing I bet that half of them people have never even met any of the owners.

I've been to Mia's plenty of times. Never seen a fight, or any other inappropriate behavior. I will comment on fights in bars though, they happen! And when they do, if not a bouncer its the owners job to keep the crap out of the bar. I read the above comments and all I read is "I heard" and "someone told me"... sounds like "hear say" to me... Its a shame to see people share rumors and "hear say" about men trying to run a business and provide for their families. I see most comments are from past employees. Probably fired for a reason... You should should look at previous records from this place, I didn't notice any convictions against the owners?.?. You people making comments shouldget your facts striaght. Its pretty simple, if you don't like the people there, stay out! If you don't like the food or owners, don't go there! But keep your "hear say" to yourself. But for me, I will be there. Supporting to local business men trying to make a living. Go Bills

I have been taking my family into both OP and Elma Mias since they opened for all kinds of occasions. Lunch, Dinner, Fund Raisers, Benefits and Private Parties. We have always found Chad to be what we call “Good people”. Yes there have been occasions (as in all establishments that serve alcohol) there have been a few to many poured. No different then any other bar\restaurant in this country. And I have also witness the owners do the right thing by give rides home, take keys away and arranging ride so people get there safe. I cannot relate words like “Animal, Sociopath” to the person I know as Chad. I suspect that there are some people (ex girl friends or ex-employees) out there try to trash Mias for there own agenda\vendetta. My family and I will continue to support Mias.

All this hear say is ridiculous. I know for a fact these are rumors are untrue and all of you wasting your time spreading them should get a life. Does any one know how/why the fight started? These men didnt act unprovoked by the trouble causing patron. Fights happen anywhere alcohol is involved! And these men were protecting their establishment and the employees inside. Mia's in a wonderful establishment and i will continue to work there until the day the doors are closed which i hope doesnt happen. They have wonderful food and a very pleasent staff to work with.

If you dont like it DONT GO THERE! I promise i wont miss you!

Heard many many bad stories about this place...inwill not go in and tell everyone I know not to. Heard that he only hired "girls who didn't have dads". Or good relationships so they would attract the men....heard there was a lot of "outside". In the car activity if one had money and also the op police knew...but were clients also so kept their mouth shut......they encouraged their bartenders to drink....which caused many problems.....maybe rumors but when you hear something over and over again......
If you're going to slam all Mia's employees then at least know facts before you open your mouth about what you "heard". You couldn't be more insulting with your "hiring of girls without dads or good relationships"... both of which I have. You must know us so personally that you feel comfortable saying such rude, reputation-ruining things about us, right? And as for your "outside car activities"... nothing has ever taken place like that and shame on you for implying so! That's disgusting and personally insulting. Why do you feel the need to slam women and young women who decide to get a job serving and bartending to pay their way through college and support their families? Get another hobby and a hint.

Ive been a patron at Mia's since they opened. Attending many parties, fund raisers and dinners. I find the atmosphere to be fun and family like and I have made many good friends there. The Sweeney brothers are gracious hosts and create a fun relaxing atmosphere. They have donated, on numerious occasions, to The Variety Club with gift certificates and gift baskets. The food is excellant and the staff is always respectful and courtious. I have never seen them encourage underage drinking or start any trouble. I don't know where the people making negative comments are getting their information but I find Mia's in direct contrast to their statements. I've been in the bar business and can appreciate how hard it is to keep the trouble makers out and find good help that doesn't steal from you. I've seen them offer people rides home if they had too much and I've seen them refuse to serve people who walk in who either had too much to drink already or where underage. All I can say is I like both Mia's locations and will continue to support the Sweeney's because they deserve it. If you havn't been there, go see for yourself. Then you'll have your own opinion instead of basing your opinion on hear say. Good Luck and God bless the Sweeney's there GOOD people.

I have worked there for years and know the owners very well, like friends. I must say that every bar will have fights and it is the owners responsibility to control them. But as for all these gross other rumors I have been there through it all and have seen everything, and they are all just not true. Don't always believe what you hear, especially in this case.
