Cafe charges fee to offset wage increase
Minnesota Gov. Mark Dayton on Thursday criticized restaurants that are charging their customers fees to offset a recent state minimum wage increase, calling the practice "tacky."

The employer is pulling a fast one.
"Our dishwashers start at $10/hour, our cooks start at $12/hour and our servers average more than $20 when you consider what they earn in tips."
He is pocketing every bit of that fee for himself.
The minimum wage is jumping from $6.15 per hour for large employers to $8 per hour. By 2016, that increase will top out at $9.50 per hour.
He also can't claim tips as part of the wage he pays.
His lowest paid employee is already making $10 an hour, he claims.
This guy is a scamming thief.
