So, was I not right, Asters was not opened on thanksgiving. Don't believe everything. Yes I read the article, but also know people were called at the last minute saying Asters was not opened.
I guess alot of people showed up at the restaurant yesteday not knowing the place had closed. They were not happy- The owner asked all unhappy people to call him- I dont know what he could possibly do or say to make up for that

When Asters was placing phone calls to the reservations, he was still running ads on the radio and at the eagle for thanksgiving dinner. How were other people to know? He never put the money into telling people he had no plans of letting them have thanksgiving dinner. That is pretty selfish.

Asters was an excellent restaurant. Let's face it. It's location was challenging. It's neighbors are horrible places like the Dakota (might as well be the Ponderosa or Western Sizzlin'), Panda House (not the best Chinese food by anyone's standards), Burger King, Luau Hale (another tasteless venture),and the Amazing Video store. Perhaps the building could be used for a "gentlemen's club". Since the economy stinks, a few ladies in the area might be interested in strutting their stuff in a classy location with plenty of discrete parking places right off route 7. Wow - economic stimulus plan for Pittsfield - a high end strip club near 2 supermarkets, an adult novelty store, a motel, a car wash, and several gas stations...and don't forget a Toyota dealership.

You are so wrong! I absolutely love the DAKOTA and the Luau Hale! Both places you will have a great dinner.
And dont get me going in the Mazing Video. My husband and I sometimes stop in there after dinner agt the Dakota! Makes for a perfect evening!

It's actually a reasonable location for that.

Daily Horoscope for January 5

Taurus

Everything seems to be getting under your skin at the moment, but this is no excuse to lose your temper, and you know it. Better by far to be discreet and plough on steadily, without looking to the left or right. If you keep your feet on the ground and don't get discouraged, there are definitely fair winds that will blow you along. It's just a question of finding the right balance between confidence and commonsense.
