Rome police say they arrested a Summerville man over the weekend for exposing himself to a downtown restaurateur and resisting officers.
Jason Earl Ray, 24, is charged with public indecency, disorderly conduct, being a public drunk and two counts of willful obstruction of law enforcement officers, Floyd County Jail reports state.
According to reports:
Officers about 12:30 a.m. Sunday responded to the 400 block of Broad Street about a suspect exposing himself. A downtown restaurateur flagged down officers when they arrived, saying he saw the suspect expose himself.
Police then found the suspect, identified as Ray, in a nearby parking lot. The suspect was belligerent and cursing when found, and told officers he’d had three beers.
The suspect declined to answer when asked if he’d exposed himself.
Police then arrested the suspect, who resisted when they put him inside their patrol car.
This is about as sad as it gets.
