Cedar Point can expect a good summer, but with gas projected to be over $4.00 a gallon by Memorial Day, I don't think it will happen as Ohio & PA people will not be driving that far for a roller coasters only themed park. Disney World meanwhile is offering such low admissions and on-property hotel rates that they will be packed.

Sounds like 'whistling in the dark' to me.

Oh, and also the people who are going to suffer most from high gas prices and a struggling economy ALREADY can't afford your amusement parks.

Three of those "new" roller coasters and one of the thrill rides came from Geauga Lake! I will miss it, good to have nearby alternatives like Waldameer in Erie, PA and Kennywood near Pittsburgh in addition to Cedar Point (they are actually closer to Canton and/or Youngstown than Sandusky.
