POPULAR COMMENT:
My pile of political mailers is accumulating in the garbage can. Right next to Bob Muholland and Randall Stone! |

Rick, Dolan and Mulholland are one in the same there is no separation between what he does and her. It's Dolan's name on that mail not Mulholland. Every time they attack you personally it destroys Dolan's creditability and shows voters who she really is not the picture her Hollywood ad makers have created for her to fool them. They have spend $50,000 trying to convince us Butte County is in great financial shape. If it was true they would not have had to spend a dime trying to convince us. Every one needs only to ask themselves how is the Butte County economy doing for me? It is the answer to that question that this election will be decided on. And frankly, if the voter's answer to that question is our local economy is not working for me at all. I am unemployed, under-employed, my friends, and family are all struggling. Then hearing Jane bragging about how great the government is doing on their tax dollars and that smug look on her face in that opulent office with her 57 cent pen is not what they want to hear from their candidate for Supervisor. Yes Jane Dolan you and all of your public employee unions are doing just great in these tough economic times. Every liberal politician says so. It's the rest of us who are paying for your good times that are struggling to get by. We know what you have done for the government Jane, what have you done for us? |

Judged: 1 1 1 I don't understand why some readers have the view that lending your own campaign money is "corrupt." In my mind, that is the least corrupt way to bring money into a campaign. No promises of quid pro quo; no simultaneous back-scratching, no obligations to the donator. Please explain the "corrupt" aspect. |

Judged: 1 1 1 Well, Jane Dolan did voted to triple her pay to more than $82,000 [salary, benefits and perks]. She voted to triple her own retirement benefit to $34,000 per year and she voted for excellent health care for herself that we will have to continue paying for even after she leaves office. Get it? It's not about Butte County going broke. It's about a self-serving politician treating herself very well at our expense. Dolan can lie all she wants about county government being in fantastic financial shape. It's not, but that's all Jane Dolan cares about, and the point is that the people that are paying for the government are not doing so great financially. Jane Dolan keeps rubbing their nose it. Rick I know that you get it. Jane Dolan never will. "It's about the economy, stupid" means the voters financial heath not the government's. The is only one candidate running for Supervisor that is talking about [JOBS] improving the economy for the voters. |

Judged: 1 1 1 Because there is no way to really verify the source of those funds that have been deposited into the candidates personal bank account. Especially when the candidate has been a trough feeder for so many years. |

Judged: 2 2 1 Sorry, I find it humorous when someone tries to insult someone else and bungles that. My apologies. I have nothing more to add. Have a great afternoon! This weather is something else, isn't it? I had a fantastic day in district 3 doing some walking. Nice weather, nice people, nice discussions. Then a local beverage served by a local business. What a Chico day! Man, I love living here! I wouldn't trade a day like today for anything else, any place else! |
1) If there is a question on the source of the funds, someone can ask for the FPPC to look into it.(Some entries back there was a link to an admonishment for a judge who received a loan from his father. So, yes, there is a way to verify the source of the funds. 2) I can assume that you consider Mike Ramsey a "trough feeder" because he is paid by the county. Would you also use that term for any other county employee? An elections clerk, a waste disposal person, parole officer, copy clerk, road maintenance during a storm, human resources, child support worker, lawn maintenance. Just exactly where do you draw the line of "trough" when you are discussing employees? |
|
It figure that you would enjoy stomping an mentally deficient harmless guy who was never a threat to anyone into the ground. I suppose tomorrow it's off to the BP horse ring to make flies into walks? |

Judged: 1 1 Yeah. I don't have any idea what you were trying to say there. You might switch to English. |
You have to have a better reason than just curiosity before the FPPC will "look into it"...and then, as in the case of the judge that you referred to, it could take anywhere from 5 to 10 years to do an audit and release a report. By that time the candidate has retired or been re-elected. At the end of the day any candidate who is trying to "buy an election" with "their own money" needs to be carefully scrutinized. |
|
Do you know how true that is? Especially on a judge? The law provides that if you suspect a violation of the Fair Political Practices Act you may file a sworn complaint with the FPPC Signed under penalty of perjury.(Gov. Code Sec. 83115). |
|
I can't speak for the poster that you are questioning, but none of the occupations you listed are elected positions. In my opinion, as it relates to Mike Ramsey, a "trough feeder" is an apt description of him because he is incompetent to survive in the private sector so he latched onto an elected public office....and he will try to hold onto it at all costs. Ramsey has never had the courage to venture into private practice, quite frankly because he knows that he might starve to death, if he did. Whereas a "trough feeder" knows the taxpayers check will always be in the mail, whether merited or not. |

Now you see, that sounds exactly like Jane too! |

You are truly a sick minded individual and a RACE BAITER as well. Unless you can explain how this comment from Robert Mallow is racist, you should apologize to him. Then you should apologize to Lance Daniel for falsely labeling him as someone who continues "to allow these racists near his campaign". Also you owe the people of Butte County an apology for trying to incite racial prejudices. You may think that it's cute but the game that you are playing can get deadly serious. |

Every election is a long night. It is my favorite night of every (election) year. I'm up early with excitement and enjoy staying up late into the night watching results. I assume you do too? In truth I have a lot of training for such a day. I'm very busy in every day life, but I don't get much work done on election day so an easier workday means I can stay up much later. I'm not much for victory parties because they don't usually have too many other results up. But lately there have been some laptops around where results are streaming in. I have my own results system on my laptop. You might wanna come by and watch results with me so you can benefit from my machine. At this point it really is just out there and waiting to stream in. I wish you and your candidates good luck on election day. I told Lance Daniel the same thing on Thursday night. And whenever you want to have that beer, I'm up for it. My guess is you won't want to have one after Tuesday, but it is up to you. Have a good one, Rick. We'll see you out on the trails. |
It'd be my pleasure Randall, just don't ever disgrace a vet. We fought for you guys, even the Bob Muhollands. When the vote is in, we live with the results, all of us, and help those that won do the best job they can...that is...if they will listen. |
