I cannot decide of Bob Acosta is a racist or a total idiot. with his comment that the only English speaking Immigrants come from England and Austalia.
It might shock Bob Acost and Progressive that English is an Official language in such non white contries as Nigeria, Jamaica ,Singapore, India the Philippines , etc.
And since most middle and upper class people in India study English in School , I would not be surprised if there where more people fluent in English in India then in England. And I know in the Philippines as young as 8 can hold a conversation in English.

Trump remains racist and ignorant, as always.

And to see the Nazi Steven Miller talking up the immigration bill...just chilling.

Sadly the percentage of adults literate in English is higher in every Indian city than it is in Los Angeles or New York. There is not one area in India that you could not easily find a person who not only speaks English but is actually literate in English.

I work with a number of people from India and Bangladesh and I will admit their English is better then mine.
And the Progressive idea of "Safe places" is something Asian don't seem to understand. Their schools teach that life is rough and it will kick you in the teeth if it gets a chance.

And it does. India has some very serious human rights abuses. Female Infanticide is a very common practice. The poverty is overwhelming with very few being able to survive long enough to get out. The humanitarian crisis in India is horrible. Would not wish that on anyone.

1 Billion people and most likely half live in the worst poverty imaginable.

I do not want the United States to turn into a country that has that kind of divide between rich and poor. It results in human suffering and also creates an ecological disaster.

Instead of working with a group of people from Asia, go live there for a while with the poor. Let's see how long you can take being in a place that is not safe, clean or healthy.

I find the accent can be difficult also Indians tend to speak fast but those that have spent time in Europe or the U.S. learn to slow down and compensate for the accent. As for understanding English and communication skills I find most Indians are better than the average American. Especially when you consider most Indians do not speak English at home or among their particular ethnic group.
The "safe space" and "entitlement" attitude is definitely an American/Western European thing. I think it comes for several generations of relative peace, security and prosperity.

I have been traveling to India, Asia regularly as well as Europe, Africa, South and Central America for over 25 years and I have seen how much suffering the greed of the ruling elite can impose on the people. That is exactly why I voted for Trump. I don't want that future caused by greed and corruption for my grandchildren.

After seeing 25 years of suffering and turmoil all over the world from greedy elitists, you thought the way to a better future was electing a greedy elitist?

He wasn't racist. The policy is intended to reverse the Browning of America.

Most immigrants are multilingual. They're sufficiently educated and many learn multiple languages because they're coming from diverse communities. Africans can impress you on American campuses because from grade school they're fluent in several languages.

The other reality is America only ranks in education internationally between 20th and 30th in core subjects. We need immigrates at both ends of the economic and skill spectrum or our economic growth wilters on the vine and career mobility falters.

This is a racist policy that will stagnate further economic growth in America.

Typical on the ground republican. You talk one-way and support regressive Republican social and fiscal policies.

Then frabricate some extraordinary lie to justify your contribution to failed supposed conservative Republican policies.

I.e. the ridiculous excuse you crafted for the present collapse in the American tourism industry brougbt by an idiot being in the oval office

Because I have seen countries that adopt a Capitalistic economy advance faster and have less misery then socialist one.
Compare Taiwan to Cuba.
Both spent large amount of money on their military and both had to endure economic boycotts of other countries. The boycott of Taiwan was even larger then the one of Cuba as the Cuban boycott was the USA ,Israel and a few Island nation in the Pacific while Taiwan was boycotted by the entire communist block and their allies
In 1961 Cuba had the highest standard of living in Latin America. In fact its standard of living was higher then even Ireland or Australia. And much higher then Japan, Korea or Taiwan.
But Castro took over, imposed socialist economy and Cuba now the one of the poorest country in Latin America.
While Taiwan which embraced Capitalism has developed into a modern first world country. Despite having almost no resources a ,major boycott and having to spend large amounts on their military.

Sad part is we spend more money per student then any countries ,except Norway and Switzerland . So what are they doing with the money.
Same with higher education. You go to a major University to attend a class in a lecture hall that was built in 1890 with 250 other students and are taught by a teacher assistant who barely makes minimum wage and you pay how much for the privilege despite the fact the University has an endowment larger then the economy of a third world country? I want to know what they are doing with the money spent on education.
