If you don't like/can't afford the prices of SF real estate, drive until you can afford it. That's why there is Rio Rancho, Epanola, Pecos, Las Vegas, Edgewood, Moriarty, etc.

Re: People thinking brokers don't work hard---sometimes that's true in individual transactions-- and was more true in the past when if you you got a desireable listing during the "hot" market it was a slam dunk to sell.(And that often made people happy with the results.)

But there always were (and more so now)situations where and people from whom you earned every penny! Properties with myriad problems, such as well/water issues, mold, radon; inspections, easements, quitclaims, financing & appraisal issues; families in the middle of deaths, divorces, illness, job loss; angry, abusive, mentally ill clients--and regular folks just very stressed because it's such a big deal to buy or sell; high and mighty, clique-ish OTHER REALTORS who hamper the deal rather than give you and your clients a smile or a break---and this is just a start.

There are also people who become your friends and that you care about sincerely, interesting properties to see and a lot of freedom (and insecurity for most of us.) But for everything easy, we face a daunting amount of competition, people who hate us, unforeseen major issues, and our own conscience as far as treating people well. Yup--most of us really try to treat people well. We should---in this market more than ever.

And...unless there is a closing...and you are not obligated to have one!--we are showing property, researching, marketing, open-housing, advertising, emailing, burning our gas, spending our time and energy---for free.

people like me...I have used, on 3-4 occasions, a Realtor to show me around community, including Santa Fe, all day long, sometimes 2-3 days. Realtor shows me every imaginable home, some way outside my payment ability. All along, I was just looking around, never intending on making a purchase. It's a good way to learn about the community UR relocating to, let me tell you. Then, I end up with a FSBO or I simply rent. I never see the Realtor again! Yup, I do it all the time. I especially enjoy attending open houses. It's a great way to get decorating ideas. Of course, I just pretend I am interested in what nonsense the attending Realtor is saying about the home. I often overhear others attending open house saying the same stuff. So all in all, this is probably one of the worse jobs out there, cuz Realtors have to deal with folks like me and smile while doing it. If not, I'll simply find another Realtard within seconds--it's fun. They are a dime a dozen, trust me.

Hillarious. Just read all the posts on this thread and it's obvious with your inane use of the word realtard under many different tags and repeatedly saying the same thing over and over that you have some sort of sick obsession with the subject. What mental illness have you been diagnosed with?

You say absolutely nothing of substance, as usual. What exactly is it that you don't want us to forget?

house to sponsor? Now go get dressed up & wait for all the nosey neighbors to attend it. Hint: if someone walks into home and does not have an automobile, they are a snoopy neighbor--not gonna buy a thing.(That piece of advice is gonna cost youy 1% of the sale transaction. Hey, I too should become a Real estate professional--I can already talk the talk!)

LOL, well, no. I'm a surgical nurse and we don't normally hold open houses but I'm sure if you look in the paper you might find one that you could attend today since that seems to occupy a tremendous amount of your time. Good luck and umm, well have fun?

Well I sort of doubt that you are a PT because you seem more like the type that needs a mental therapist of some sort. I know you're definitely not one where I work. You appear to be the sort of character that people tend to stay away from. But whatever. You have a blast today with your little charade. I really hope you find something more meaningful to do with your time. Bye, bye.

That's just that HWY guy again. The one that reads the bumper stickers on his "Lexus". Pathetically sad.

Daily Horoscope for December 8

Aries

You're feeling practical and sensible today, so it's great for getting on with some of the Christmas preparations. The idea of saving money appeals to you now, and if you're browsing around the supermarket looking for festive food you might be so horrified by some of the prices that you decide to make your own instead. This will give you a real feeling of satisfaction.
