What the should do is offer assistance to pay for homeowners insurance, too.

What the state needs to do to restart the real state market is to lower taxes. Elected officials should look long term and should persue actions that fix this financial mess and fix all the financial mismanagement in our state -- they need to look into bringing new forms of revenue to our state.

And there we have the problem...AGAIN. This is taxpayer's money that is shelled out for this stuff. It's BS!!! What ever happened to EVERYONE having to actually EARN their way through life? I am so sick and tired of the government taking our money and simply giving it to the underachievers who didn't work as hard as we did to get to where we are. This will never end, will it? The government is playing Robin Hood once again and it's disgusting. We all know who it is they're trying to place in houses. The blacks. That's their way of forcing diversity...they take OUR money, give it to blacks and then stick them into areas where whites are content, thur completely destroying OUR lives again and again and again. Because in they come and all the crime starts. I'm sick of it.

Yup! It is ... |

No one is "owed" a home. If they don't have a down payment, they don't get a house period! Why do these "geniuses" think that it will jump start the housing market when these folks do not even have enough money for the down payment? What about upkeep and maintenance, taxes, insurance, bank payments on top of their massive credit card debt which most of them have?
The smart people, who get the 8k tax credit for the first time home buyers put it in the bank to save. Those who need 8k to put down on a house from the Govt don't deserve a house in the first place if they can't afford to put money down. What happened to the old days where people saved their money and put down 10-20%?

If the people to whom the money is supposed to go, are so hard up for the cash needed to buy a house, how does the state think, they are actually going to pay it back? And when they don't,is the state going to foreclose on the house? This is just another stupid plan, to get people who really can't afford a house, to buy one.It willonly lead to more foreclosures and abandoned houses.

Call Tallahassee and say, "NO!!!" This is OUR money they are spending, simply giving it away to people that cannot afford homes, have not EARNED their homes and again, here is the government placing people into homes when they cannot afford it. We had to earn our way to where we are. Everyone is supposed to work to earn their way. This is disgusting!!!
Maybe they'll take out a home equity loan to pay it back. If the goal is to kill Florida's housing market altogether, this idea's pure genius. |

I never had any help with my finances. Never overextended, always paid my debts, always lived within means.
I'm going to start giving myself tax breaks, if you catch my drift. |

Welcome to Florida!
Ha,haha,hahaha,hahahahahahahah aha!!! Word of the Day........Loan? |
Subprime part two. Bottom line, don't buy it if you can't afford it.
good, lets bailout/help the lazy and stupid AGAIN!!
Get ready for a new wave of foreclosures to hit the market

The state does not offer anything as everything they have comes from tax payers. Work for what you get. Many would like the government up their butt. Well they will not like it. I want the government off my butt and I already do not like it. Nothing in this world is free. The price is your freedom.

excuse me! when is someone going to offer to help those of us who COULD afford to purchase our homes and are still BARELY able to make our payments? Why do we have to suffer for the mistakes of others. You should know what you can and can't afford. STOP trying to buy things you can't afford! Scrimp and save like some of us have to put a down payment on a home, stop crying "poor me" and get a grip on reality. IF YOU CAN'T AFFORD IT DON'T TRY TO BUY IT!

If anybody still wonders about the roadmap to equality in our Society, this should put the bright light of exposure on their doubts. SOME get from the STATE. Translation; ALL PAY for "SOME". Who are "SOME" . Riiiight. Recipe for armed rebellion is in the oven.

Just getting people into MORE DEBT in order for them to buy a house. If they don't have $8,000 now why will they have it in 18 months time?? duhh!
Lets see here. Bank short sales and we still need help with the down payment? This is BS, Osama needs this money back to pay down his stimulas loan. Let the money go back and save us the repo later
