In these difficult economic times,it is not at all surprising that Forest City would withdraw from projects that are economically infeasible. This is simply a prudent business decision in challenging economic times. Shareholders should be concerned if the company did not take such action. The company is not responsible for the downturn in the economy.

How much do you really know about Forest City? I personally sent an email to the mayor of Fresno a few months ago warning her to stay clear of Forest City Enterprises. I sent letters to mayors and other officials in other parts of the country telling them the same. How much influence these letters actually had, I can't say for sure.

But please do your homework before singing the praises of a horrible company like Forest City. They are the biggest slumlords in the country with black mold sweeping across their residential properties. I've read recently about three deaths from this mold.

They are also far and away the most loathed real estate developers in the country.

Don't take my word for it. Check out "No Land Grab" and "neulandlord.com ." Then Google in "Forest City Enterprises Complaints" or "Ratner Atlantic Yards Lies."

Awww, never mind...you probably work for Forest City or are one of their shills. For what's it's worth, Citizens United Against Corporate Corruption will not relent until Forest City has no more employees nor anymore shills. Nothing personal of course.:-)

As for the shareholders, among other things we think they'll be quite a big concern after Forest City gives their lack of earnings report for the first quarter.

I hope you are not a stock broker or analyst. Amazing how much money they make to give investors losing tips. They make weather forecasters look good. I have a tip for you. Forest City Enterprises will be belly up very soon.

On the subject of "infeasible" maybe they should withdraw from the Atlantic Yards project. Take their business somewhere else. Brooklyn doesn't want them.

I'll second that.

The newspapers make it seem like they're just a victim of the economy. UH HUH...more like we're all a victim of them.

I'll third that. Of course if everybody who's had dealings with Forest City posted here, we'd see posts saying, "I'll 5,000,000 that."

Forest City a victim of the economy???? LMAO.

I've read nothing but horrible things about this company. Read several times they were on the verge of BK. Read about deaths happening on their properties and many people they're stiffing. And, their last reported earnings were horrible. Yet their stock price has tripled in the last two weeks??? Did Martha Stewart or Mark Cuban get a tip or something?

Or has given money to. Probably cash under the table. IMO, that's why Forest City stock suddenly shot back up.

That might not even be far enough. They'd probably set up bases there, paint themselves green and then attack the earth.

You're an idiot. Our country is falling apart because of clueless people like you that blissfully stay unimformed.

The icons haven't been used a lot over here on the Forest City topic. But I think you really got blasted, because you're incredibly ignorant.
Others like Robert or Reality Check from the Morningstar thread were obviously friends or employees of Forest City. You on the other hand are typical of the biggest problem we're facing in this country: That is people who are so naive and unaware, crooked politicians and corrupt corporations like Forest City are able to run roughshod over Americans. Are people like you ever going to wake up? Unfortunately probably not until something bad happens in your life.
