Brewbaker may be a fine person but as an economist he lacks credibility. His mild setback has now turned into the great recession. Yeah right, green shoots! More like weeds!

Buy real estate. Inflation will be rampart in about 2012. Housing prices will triple, but the dollar will buy far less.

I suppose "sickman fraud" has a better crystal ball

and your analysis is based on what?

your theory that the world sucks so I'll go on the internet and tell everyone that they suck

doesn't sound too scientific to me

Petco can expand even more if they would sell us pet vaccines, heartworm and intestinal worming pills so we can beat the astronomical veterinary costs. Open up pet grooming and dental cleaning services, too.

It's KARMA TIME! Too much, too fast, for alien/off-shore/foreign buyers--who have created havoc to Oahu's FAILED INFRASTRUCTURE and lack thereof..! God's making new land, but at a very slow pace--"In God's time!" Meanwhile, all of this ridiculous building is for whom? Certainly not for Hawaii residents! Continuing the irresponsible residential developments of the beginning of this Milenium is absurd, because these projects are totally reliant on FOREIGN BUYERS! If you continue the pace of growth on Oahu and the outer islands we have experienced in the last eight years--then we will be out of FRESH WATER, our Sewage Capacities are above the City's ability to handle same, and we are, generally speaking, polluting the entire local environment: light, sound/noise, overcrowded roadways, and affluent waste continually polluting our shorelines and the ocean we swim and fish in, etc... "Developers" need to find a new venue! Hawaii is out of buildable land and the local population does not need more housing, per se--we need AFFORDABLE HOUSING! ENOUGH! NOW! NO MORE BUILDING PERMITS! NO MORE TAX CREDITS for FOREIGN DEVELOPERS! Lingle and Hanneman have created a nightmare that our great-great grandchildren will never resolve!
..and, NO MORE RAIL! Hanneman and Inouye should both get real jobs and stop fleecing the public!

Mr. Huh, It was Mr . Brewbaker who predicted a mild setback not even a recession just 20 months ago. Yeah my "balls" told me it was going to be a lot worse and I'm not even a paid economist.

"While residential home sales may be stabilizing, Brewbaker said home prices will drop further... tight control of Oahu's housing permits and limited inventory will result in another housing bubble, Brewbaker said."

I guess Brewbaker has gotten beat over the head with facts and can now catch a glimpse of reality. And thanks, Paul, for telling us what we already know about the housing racket here.

As folks in Washington and the rest of the country grumble about the depressed job market and underwhelming consumer spending reports, the calls for a second stimulus continue.

"I think that a second one may well be called for," Warren Buffett , the widely respected investor, said Thursday morning on ABC's "Good Morning America."

"Our first stimulus bill... was sort of like taking half a tablet of Viagra and having also a bunch of candy mixed in," he said, "as if everybody was putting in enough for their own constituents."

Indeed, new reports show the money from President Obama's $787 billion economic stimulus package is potentially being doled out unevenly. An analysis from the New York Times shows rural areas are receiving a disproportionate amount of funds for transportation projects.

"Two-thirds of the country lives in large metropolitan areas, home to the nation’s worst traffic jams and some of its oldest roads and bridges," the Times reports. "But cities and their surrounding regions are getting far less than two-thirds of federal transportation stimulus money."

Additionally, USA Today reports that counties that supported Mr. Obama in the presidential election have so far received twice as much money per person from the stimulus package as those that supported Republican John McCain -- though that likely has more to do with bureaucracy than politics.

Obama said "...a new wave of innovation, activity and construction will be unleashed all across America." He also said the stimulus would "save or create up to four million jobs." Vice President Joe Biden said the massive federal spending plan would "drop-kick" the economy out of the recession.

So far we are left with, wheres da beef?...lol

This con artist is great with words but lacks credibility so far...
