Ex-Realtor executive summoned - Ruidoso News

The former executive director of the Ruidoso Board of Realtors has been summoned to Magistrate Court on a count of embezzling more than $20,000. Carol Lester, 69, admitted that she embezzled money between June 2004 and March 2009 while employed as executive officer for the Realtors board, according to a criminal complaint filed by Ruidoso Det.

What does being a cancer survivor have to do with being a thief? Does this mean she should get a pass? I don't think so. Why a summons? Why not an arrest warrant? She stole alot of money from members of the board. Where were the board of directors, and the officers while this was going on for the last five years? Too bad Harvey is broken hearted!!!!!

It IS a sad situation, for those she ripped off to her own gain! She should face the consequences of her illegal action without favoritism. There's also much scuttlebutt going around about her potential replacement. Hopefully, the Board will now pay close attention to anyone assuming this post as they obviously have been remiss in doing so in the past.
