Not a requirement but recommendedby JC himself.

The autor seems to confuse the words "chastity" and "celibacy".
Prety much everyone who says wedding vows takes a vow of chastity. All Christians are called to chastity.

-From the article:
The couple weren't forced to make the decision to opt for celibacy but put themselves forward anyway.

'We don't have to take that particular vow,' Cornelius said,'We have decided to do that voluntarily'.

Bet that they don't make it. She or he will step out...People are sexual beings. It is in the make up. What would make someone not yield to such a natural urge as sexuality...

Sin is also a "natural urge," but you seem to see it as an entitlement.

..... That's another way of BIRTH CONTROL! Married priests give up sex after getting to be Catholic priests. Enough pregnancies! Having lots and lots of kids is only for ordinary Catholics, never for their priests!

Don't be silly Joe. The "man" is a self proclaimed scholar of all things. Learned everything he knows from biting the pillow talk.
