Mexico's president opposes legalizing marijuana, calls it 'a gateway drug'

More than 12,000 people were murdered last year in the Mexican drug war, The Washington Post's Nick Miroff reported, a figure that's been largely unchanged over the past three years. Full Story

:“Obviously, we can’t handle a product that is illegal in Mexico, trying to stop its transfer to the United States, when in the United States ... it now has a different status,”.]

I live in Seattle. There is no room for low grade Mexican bunk!I suspect that national legalization will impact drug cartel profits...too bad!(NOT)

Our next step should be to tax remittances in order to foot the illegal alien bill they have run up!

I am Mexican American , we came here legally decades ago and I am sure as hell no GOP because fund the party hypocrites but I agree with you 100%.

Mexicos assembly line of corrupt gvmt officials should have to pay for each illegal locked up in USA and the BILLIONS of dollars illegals have cost in hospital, etc over decades.

Be honest for a second though we both agree on this what republican will do that and if anything now Rubio is playing both sides of the field as he tries to win over the Hispanic (mostlt central, south American) votes.

EVERY GOP has betrayed you.

I support borders closed as tight as can be but I do not see anything from GOP but talk.
Whether you like it or not Obama has deported way more but yes the borders remain open.

Don't become distracted by the obam's deportation numbers. They were counting those they had apprehended and turned away at the border...NOT internal deportations. That's how they got the humbers up! That way he could appear to be tough on immigration while not being so! There is so much lieing and cheating...

Of course the corrupt government (aka the puppets and collaborators of the cartels) don't want it legalized, because that would hurt the drug trades profits!

Hispanic conservatives want the drug legalized, and don't want any more gun control! Prohibition on drugs and guns just creates crime and cesspools like Mexico has become. It's a shame really, and sometimes I feel ashamed for my former country.

Join the NRA to help keep our freedom to protect ourselves. Let the GOP know that modern conservatives want to end the war on drugs. Don't trust the lying manipulative Democrats on anything.

Oh and Marco Rubio who ran in Florida for Senator on deporting illegals has certainly called for deportation after being elected ? NOT

He did a typical (after you elect them) GOP 180 but that is okay with Republican hypocrites .
