I agree with you Toni.
As much as i like the idea of a Justice League movie, if there are not going to be any big names playing any of the roles i won't be wasting my money on it.
And this is NOT a racist remark but why do all the new versions insist on making Green Lantern black? I grew up with Hal Jordan being Green Lantern. As far as i am concerned he is THE Green Lantern.

The names attached to the movie don't matter much to me. How many times have we seen movies with big names that were horrible, and then movies with unknowns that were great.

If Marvel is indeed building a connected comic book univerese with there movies, DC needs to do the same. If Christian Bale wants to be in JLA, that would be way cooler than some no names, and all the DC movies being separate. Why would they do that when Marvel is connecting theirs? Just wondering.

They should adapt the Smallville Clark Kent to the upcomming Justice League movie because Tom Welling has been playing the role of Clark Kent for over 8 years now at a professional level and is the best suited person on Earth at this point of time for the role.
Selecting anyone else is not about risk, its about how shit the movie will be.
The Justice League revolves around Superman, his the MAIN MAN, and its most important that he doesnt look creepy or scary or ugly like the ' Superman Returns ' version.
Dont get me wrong, Superman returns was a great movie, maybe it was a load of crap how they ripped a storyline out of their bums but thats what Hollywood is about :P

this movie is going to be a flop.cheap cast equals cheap movie.not to mention this "Common" person.From what i remember the Green Lantern wasn't black and i think he would play the part terribly.
