Truth is we do have a few gangbangers in my neighborhood. I live in the Panama park area off Pearl st. I have seen 183 Bloods tags on Buildings around here. However for the most part it seems to be wannabees. Most of them have little education so they dont know how to organize. That being said alot of La Cosa Nostra did not have educations. But what they did have was loyalty to there family. Thats one thing these gangs dont have. They would turn Ststes on there mother.

This is something being ignored in my opinion. Ignored by the Sheriff and the State Attorney. These thugs have websites, myspace accounts, facebook accounts and e-mail accounts. I'm looking at what apperas to be a 12 year old pointing a revolver at the camera right this minute on a PYC myspace page. Prosecuting these ciminals isn't brain surgery. It WOULD require someone to actually address the issue.
there is a gang unit here in jax and they DO look at myspace accounts.......I think they often just monitor the little scroats on the ground and gather info towards the bigger ones.........

I have asked severals JSO officers about gang units and gang activity in jacksonville. Every response I have gotten is that there arent or isnt a large tight network of gang or gang activity within the city. I think sure there are a few due to being a transit city for the military but for the most part is easy to go online to find a few hand gestures and other things that show affiliation. It really not that hard. There are more thugs than anything and with the murder count at around 120 now its easy to say that gangs are in and around jax. I always questioned and this is from knowledge of them from home in Mississippi is that if gangs were as heavy as the news outlet reports, why arent they more visible as in like numbers than in imagination? And if they are so many then why arent the people arrested with tattoos arent profiled in comparison to those that are really in gangs? Its common for a gang member to have tattoos to show what set or gang they are with as well as other insignia related. I think this is just another media scare tactic to make the citizens here more paranoid than most already are. You see crime reports all the time and then you see self defense tactics or cautionaries soon afterwards. Its an ongoing recycled process of media being used to create a state of fear. IF you dont believe just set back with an open mind and really analyze how the news is reported in jax or any other place in the nation.

Ending gang violence is simple. Just paint over the grafitti, and stake out the place where the painting is happening. When someone approaches the area with a spray can to paint it, shoot him in the head, and all of his freinds. Then donate his organs to someone who deserves them. Once a freind of mine had a small used car lot, and some punks were coming by at night and spray painting his cars. Numerous calls to the police brought no changes, so he decided to stake out the lot at night. In a few days, he caught this punk painting one of his cars at 230am, and he knocked him out cold. When the punk woke up, my freind had spray painted his face, mouth, ears, eyes, genitals, asscrack- no orifice was left unpainted, and every spray can was used up. It was a work of art, really, the punk was the canvas, and my freind painted a picasso. Funny thing, no one ever painted his cars again- ever.
