Journalists slammed, arrested at St. Louis protests decry a paramilitary policea
Two journalists arrested amid the clashes of police and protesters in the streets of St. Louis, Missouri, called their treatment "shameful" and outrageous, unjustified and even illegal, and said the militarization of civilian law enforcement is starting to clamp press freedoms.

I have been troubled for several years now by police department's militarization across this country. I don't see the for police to have heavy weapons and armored vehicles. It seems that many police men and department's have developed a them/us mind set. I'm afraid that these departments will become a force to keep citizens in line when Obama declares martial law.
