The only hope for Russia is the courage of activists such as these. I can only imagine what it must be like to live in a country where the people aren't free to express themselves without being arrested.

People are free to express themselves they just aren't allowed to be sexually deviant or promote sexual deviance. I don't see any problem with that. As a mater of fact I applaud them for it!

The irony is that you are applauding the exact thing they were pointing out (the law is VERY reminiscent to the Nazis).

They protested a law. They got arrested. Just like what happened under Hitler. The technical term is fascism.

"Initially, some bystanders spoke against police officers using excessive force. But later, after they discovered that the protest was in support of LGBT rights, bystanders rejected the protesters, calling homosexuality "the decline of morality."

And there is nothing brutal about the treatment the protesters received. The police were fair and even a bit gentle in enforcing the law.

I do agree that the use of the word "brutal" is hyperbole. It was still a violation of their human rights to arrest them for peacefully speaking out.

If it weren't for sexual deviance, buster, you never would have been born.

Get your mother to explain it to you sometime.

It never existed outside of a couple of monastic orders and the Hutterites.
