My dad always said to buy American, if you do not buy the other stuff they have to eat it. It is almost impossible to abide by that in this day and age but I make every effort to do so. It does cost more money to buy a faucet made in America as opposed to Communist China but I do it and pay more for it willingly, usually about 25% or more. The flipside is that made in America is still better quality in most cases so that faucet will last 20 years more or less whereas the ones in my ssiters new built 2005 house fell apart within 8 years, made in Communist China items.

Hispanic is an ethnicity and not a race, majority of hispanics are white and the remainder are black race.
Legal immigration is based on what positive things/skills an immigrant can bring to this country and those who meet the requirements most are allowed in with the remainder having to wait their turn. If America needs a Chemical Engineer why would they let a toilet scrubber, melon picker, hammer swinger, or baby factory in instead?
Where did I say that Hispanic is a race? I am aware that it is an ethnicity. No, the majority coming here from mostly Mexico are not just plain white. They are Mestizo of mixed race. Usually Spanish-white and native indian. Some may be partially black also but not the majority.

Most are sheer rubbish, especially #7. Illegal aliens cannot legally pay income taxes. If they use an ITN they are breaking the law and if they use a SS# they are breaking the lasw so either way it just adds to their criminality.
Now, referring to legal immigrants then there can be truth to the article as legal immigrants are a positive force to America whereas illegals are merely common criminals by their very presence. I do however fell that something oughtto be done regarding the illegals brought over as very small children as they did not really much of a choice in their parents criminality.

The only solution is to offer amnesty. This will put all the undocumented on the tax rolls helping America pay off it's national debt.
Only those who want to use the millions to elevate Obama to Dear Leader status would be stupid enough to give blanket amnesty to the millions as a reward for ignoring our Immigration laws.

I hope Americans aren't as stupid as you want them to be by even mentioning Amnesty. But, we were stupid enough to empower the Obama Regime for another round so maybe we are too stupid to handle self government.

Same here on the news again today. Cannot find enough construction workers in this city now for all the high end condos and lofts going up downtown. If one looks into the job postings they are paying well below standard wages.$8.00 for general labor,$12.00 for carpenter,$14.00 for electrician helper,$11.00 for a pipe fitter,$19.00 for construction supervisor. These are pay grades mostly for illegals. None offer any benefits but why would they, get hurt then you go to the taxpayer funded welfare hospital, Brackenridge and stiff the taxpayers for your care.

What a crock! It's just greedy employers trying to justify hiring illegal aliens. Americans were ran off construction jobs long ago in favor of cheap, illegal labor not because they were lazy. Are you really this gullible?

A faucet made in SE Asia is generally one third the cost of one made in the US. So you buy three and they'll last you 24 yrs. You still come out ahead.

I would rather buy s good one, install it one time, and have no problems for decadea. You are free to buy poor quality and deal with the end results three times or more.

It's the unions that killed the construction industry. They demanded $30 an hour and the protection of a union. Many call in sick and miss many Fridays and Mondays. Undocumented workers work everyday and provide a good product, why would anyone not want to hire us.

I agree. Folks need to realize they need not shop at Walmart.
The last thing I bought there was thread for my sewing machine... never again tho.

Not anymore.... I have friends in roofing and the illegals that used to get work, aren't anymore and they're struggling because the Feds are catching up. In Utah The Church used to hire them without impunity, but now they see the folly in their way's. So many won't use illegals for fear they'll get fined... Good news, but still too many working for crap wages and exploiting our communities with the riff-raft...

My company, Juan's Electrical / Home Repairs has a good reputation. I cannot find American workers who are willing to work for $14 an hour, I have to use the undocumented. Most of my work comes from others who have used our skills in the past.

Can't even find legal immigrant workers either, right? Yeah, I'm a believer. How does an illegal alien start a legal business anyway? Or are you in violation of that also?
