If he's looking for someone to help give economic points, out goes Crist (despite pretending to be engaged). Charlie has practically depleted every agency in the state, and the tax payers are paying for it via special assessments, and an out of control crime rate.

If you really want to "lift" the economy, go after a major overhaul of our incredibly complex and crippling tax system with a radical new idea like the "Fair Tax Plan" outlines. Wouldn't it be an instant boon to everyone to bank your entire gross pay less only perhaps your medical and dental group payments providing your company still pays anything towards that? That rushing sound would be the sound of businesses currently overseas rushing to come back to America along with thousands of foreign businesses currently being eaten alive by their countries confiscation of their incomes. If McCain wants a real boost to his campaign, make this one of his primary platform promises.

As many politicians that have interviewed on talk radio or TV that come out pro fair tax we get the same old nothing being preached from the top of the Capital building. Many of these guys talk the talk but fail to walk the walk. Johnny boy won't want to p*** off his K street contributers by actually proposing a real tax reform.

McCain is lost and wishy-washy with economic solutions and is showing tiredness from the rigor of campaign travel. The nationally televised debating is fast approaching and McCain won't get all the time he needs to answer questions from the moderators like he gets from the preferred slow town hall meetings.

Michael Bloomberg has way more sense than to climb aboard the foundering S.S. McCain. Portman's future at a second-tier university couldn't get any worse, so he's a potential candidate, and the best thing to be said about him is that no one's ever heard of him. Romney? It would be good for the country if his tired old wherever-the-wind-blows political style goes the way of the good ship McCain.

I am not going to read the article based on the massive stupidity of the title. It is not the President's, let alone the Vice President's role to "lift the economy". We are not supposed to have a centrally planned economy. Unfortunately, most in this country are unaware of this; thus, they will vote for the candidate who will "do something about the economy". Oh, I just can't wait for the focus groups of undecided voters. You will never see a more vapid group of ignoramuses.
