They put out the jcp everyday products in my store yesterday. I am not a jcp apologist, but the stuff is nice. There's a dutch oven that weighs a ton. I know I picked it up.

I agree that it is overpriced, but then that is the "regular" price and the sale prices will probably be about 40-50% off.

The thing is, the company is committed to this merchandise after sinking a lot of cash into it so I hope it sells. I know I work there, but I am also a lifetime shopper there, so I am rooting for it to stay around.

OMG, louann, are you saying they changed the music at the stores???!!!! I have been off for some days this week and many of us have been asking when and if ever they were going to change the tunes. It has been the same since January. I am looking forward to seeing the new jcpEveryday when I go in today. I am remaining optimistic that it will be nice stuff.

I would think that the customers have been waiting so long for the "new stuff" to come in and we have literally have nothing to sell for so long, it will be selling just fine. Especially with coupons and sales. I would have preferred the F & S prices all the time, but hey, I don't call the shots around there.

Yes, it is the "old" music but there are a lot more songs being blasted instead of the same 5 or 6 (it seemed) we had heard for four months.

I LOVE what is getting unveiled in the Home area. Ours won't be complete until almost the end of May but I think draperies is opening tomorrow maybe.

Our men's department is really going to be awesome, once the Home dept is done and they can finish men's. They are moving sporting back over to young men's like it used to be when I first worked there many moons ago, That means with the added sales floor space they are adding behind the "white curtains" and the reclaimed space from Misses, it looks like men's is expanding finally.
