White House says bad intelligence fed WMD claim

President Bush's claim three years ago that weapons of mass destruction were found in Iraq was based on U.S. intelligence that was later proved false, the White House acknowledged today. Full Story

How many times can bad intelligence be blamed?
Excuse after excuse. If what Maclellan says is true and it takes time to vet information then why tell the whole nation until your sure?

Maybe you get cut some slack once or twice but this is a broken record no one makes this many mistakes in a row. lie after lie time after time they say one thing and it turns out to be another and then its blame the CIA or the Generals, after awhile you gotta take the heat, we all know where the Buck Stops, it's where the Bullsh!t starts.

Do you have any reason to think McCellan ever tells the truth. He says what he is told to say.

Regardless of the intel, Bush was determined to go to war in Iraq. The British memo released last week shows Bush telling Blair that he will provoke Iraq into war if he needs to. He is a disgrace!

Good,,,it's settled

Let's round up our equipment and bring most of the troops home. We have some very large infrastructure projects to work on over here in America and could really use the money.

I don't recall signing on to this World Police department

It's not that easy, is it. You're in it for the long haul now, Blairs finished, he's hanging on at the moment but the next guy will have us out there within six months.

It's one thing fighting for freedom etc. another thing fighting for oil. Its time that the U.S pumped a few trillion $ into an alternative energy policy now.

And then maybe you can develop into a truely great nation but in another couple of hundreds of years or so because that's how much damage that the Iraq action has done to U.S credibility?

If Clinton can get impeached for lying under oath about a blowjob then I think Bush and his administration should get impeached for lying to the American public about the reasons for going to war and puting fine American soldiers and innocent civilians in harms way. His administration's incompetence on so many levels and policies is doing more to wreck the United State's future as a global economic leader and military super power than any terrorist could hope to do.

I think the headline is wrong. It should have said: Intelligence says Bad White House fed WMD Claim. It seems more to the point. Maybe the editor is dyslexic.

Imagine how far a trillion dollars in alternative energy research would have gone.

Yet there are still more tax breaks and incentives for big oil than Alt. Energy.

And thats not including the Iraq war subsidy.

How close to your pipeline are you now Mr Bush. A little restaraint and finishing what you started in Afghanistan and you might have gotten it eventually.

It is good we are in Iraq, because we are right next door to Iran. This makes an invasion much easier.

We are also bogged down in Iraq, so there wont be any invasion of troops. Our hands are tied. All we can do is bomb. I say this often, the clear winner of the Iraq War is Iran!

We should have a presidential duel. At least one of our countries would be better off.

Good idea. Give the President of Iran an RPG and strap him to the Chinese Missile and allow President Bush to fly an F-106 Delta Dagger, equipped with the latest net-centric battlespace displays and technology and see who wins? If President Bush misses for some reason and the rocket keeps going it will be 72 Virgins for the President of Iran and a mushroom cloud from the special club he just joined.
