When large demonstrations occur in countries ruled by oppressive governments (yes we have those too in Islam!!) and those demonstrations are not against the government, then it’s usually the case that they’re occurring because the government wants them to occur, not because of some popular groundswell. Moreover, in countries ruled by oppressive governments the average person doesn’t necessarily have a reality-based view of events (hell, that’s true even in less oppressed countries like yours (Denmark) or mine (Germany)!!), so it’s quite likely that those who are demonstrating, even if they are actually mortally offended, are offended about some version of events quite different from what really happened.
How many muslims live in Germany? Can't even get a few thousands to protest? The Philippines, not a muslim country, saw a few thousands protesting the cartoons. In Indonesia, not a dictatorship, there have been several demonstrations against the cartoons, too. Was there anything even remotely similar after the 2002 Bali bombing? No.

Marco, where is your Guarantee that, everything you claim to see and hear (obviously from the Media)about ANYTHING is always the entire Truth of the Matter? We here in Europe have the Advantage that our Media here is not as badly biased as to elsewhere (e.g. USA) but still do you just willfully accept anything they hand you on a Silver Plate out of that Flickering Black Box or the Newspaper? I hope not.....because that stuff is "Man-Made" also! What i'm getting at is....search for Truth (it' your responsibility to yourself).
I often go to the source. I've seen several supposedly moderate muslims in 'muslim' newspapers write things that go much further than what our supposedly biased media reports!
Najid wrote:
As Far as "openly declaring all Israelis to be legitimate target (including children)" was is specified particularly that Children should be killed? Really? Where is your Proof?
I've heard it say myself. And we know that islamists don't mind killing a few children on purpose: Beslan.
Najid wrote:
You did NOT pick a good example with Israel Marco. There is sooo much wrong going on in that Department I cant even begin to comment on that!
Educate yourself on the topic of Palestine and all the Children that are starving and being shot at on the way to school etc. I recommend you the following link to get an inside look on that situation and while you look at it (please do!!) imagine those where your children and your neighborhood being destroyed:
http://www.youtube.com/watch...
There is indeed much wrong in Israel. And around it, too. How can ANYONE expect a country to be kind to its neighbours, when the politicians in those neighbouring countries call for the destruction of said country, or allow military organisations that have this goal to freely roam around in their country? Hizbollah is even part of the Lebanese government, while Hamas is part of the Palestinian government!
Najid wrote:
And what about Iraq?? The children and innocent people there?
Primarily killed by their fellow muslims...

And somehow, all the suffering in Sudan means jack sh*t to muslims, despite the death toll in just a few years of fighting far exceeding the total death toll in 60 years of conflict with Israel.

It just didn't surprise me that there weren't any Christian Countries Invaded following those incidents (pun intended).
"Pun intended", indeed. An internal issue that those countries fight themselves. Why invade? It's not like Afghanistan as the training ground of many terrorists worldwide, with support by the ruling group, or the open support of terrorism by the ruling party of Iraq.

You seem to have a Fascination with Communism...yet Communism has absolutely nothing to do with Religion, just like yourself.
Communism became a religion itself, with prophets (Marx, Engels, Lenin), religious scripture (particularly Das Kapital), a kind of supreme being (the leader of the state, especially under Stalin), shrines (ever been to Red Square?), seminaries (teaching institutes for communism), etc. etc. For me it is very much the same as a religion...

In the opinion of many....Democracy is failing as we speak, but thats another subject.Your judgement appears to be effected by the Fear-Mongering Agenda of Governments + Media to create an Image of "Muslims who have nothing better to do than to Kill "Infidels" and try to take over the World".....sooo lame (not you...the Agenda!)We have other things to worry about...believe me!
Ever wondered if maybe all these things are being stirred up to divert you from seeing whats really going on behind the Curtains of Politics and Power?Just a thought..........
Perhaps I HAVE been behind those curtains...ever thought of that?

Death Penalty for Homosexuality:
Same-sex intercourse carries the death penalty in five officially Muslim nations: Saudi Arabia, Iran, Mauritania, Sudan, and Yemen. It formerly carried the death penalty in Afghanistan under the Taliban, and in Iraq under a 2001 decree by Saddam Hussein. The legal situation in the United Arab Emirates is unclear. In many Muslim nations, such as Bahrain, Qatar, Algeria or the Maldives, homosexuality is punished with jail time, fines or corporal punishment. In some MUSLIM-MAJORITY nations, such as Turkey, Jordan, Egypt, or Mali, same-sex intercourse is not forbidden by law.
Now mind you.....and please read this slowly....
THE DEATH PENALTY FOR HOMOSEXUALITY IS NOT SPECIFIED IN THE QUR'AN!!!!!!!!..
That's a matter of interpretation. Homosexuality is seen as a great sin, a corruption. And what does the koran say about someone causing mischief? Right....

bet you didn't know that did you?!
I'm not so stupid to think that all people think alike. It's the fact that so few muslims openly protest these ideas being voiced by their religious scholars. Because it is the SCHOLARS that tell you (and me, for that matter) that this is what your scripture says. Twice I have seen imams on Dutch television (I'm not a Dane) openly defending the death penalty for homosexuals. Not a peep out of all those supposedly moderate muslims that do not agree. But plenty of messages in support on Dutch muslim blogs...the most moderate messages being that it can only be done in a muslim country under sharia.

The only truth I have seen in all these posts is what Najid had to say. Women have infinite rights in Islam. Everyone else, you need to get your facts straight before you decide to post anything. Your making yourself look very ignorant.

Infinite rights? Is that why the testimony of a woman is half that of a man? Is that why the man is responsible for the woman, i.e., that she should obey him? Is that why the husband is allowed to HIT his wife? And these are just examples from the koran. If I'd quote the hadith, it gets worse and worse.

Did you even bother to read the article?
It really makes a big difference for example when your husband or brother comes home one day heavily drunk. That is quite abnormal for any human being. For us Muslims it's like some one has placed a big mountain on such a person and he's crushed under the weight of his sin. The things that you eat and drink (the things that are in your stomach), the things that are in your head and heart, your thoughts they make a big difference. It could ruin your relatioships, say for example, with your family, your brother, your dad, your husband (take for example Miss Britney Spears, what she has been through, and her mental status, how she thinks and her speech).
If your thoughts, the things that dwell inside your head and heart -they can make or break the relatioships with the people around you, what do you think (how silly people think when it comes to the Relationship with God Almighty Allah WHO IS THE ONLY GOD) that they are really breaking relatioship with HIM. But actually they should have reformed themselves, bowed to the Will of God, just like trees, nature, Sea, Earth, Sun, Moon and so on, because they all are doing in the same network, the perfect work designed for them by God Almighty Allah. we are here for a Test on this Earth as spoken by God Almighty Allah, in His Final Message-Qur'an. That is why we are given a special thing, to think and decide and take our own actions, good or bad. But the actions will be judged by Allah on the Day of Judgement and as in the laws of God, for every action, there is equal and opposite reaction. If you give to Allah, your good thoughts, good actions, sacrifice a small portion of your money in His Name as a donation to some poor family, some rice or clothe to wear, take out your time to teach them some beneficial valued education or art of purity, which will bring all closer to Allah, all this will be rewarded by Allah and will come back to you only by His Blessings in this world and the Eternal Permanent world (this is how the action and reaction here takes place).
But if the same is done in the opposite way, opposing Allah and then all such acts and thoughts will be given back from Allah to the doer in a just way without making her or him think that Allah has judged them wrongly in the least........continued

continued...from previous post...
You know the revenge of even the animals and also humans. God makes us feel the price of our doings and acts so that people perform best acts and wrong doers do not keep on revelling on false premises and acts. Their acts will come to an end just like the people before who left came and left this world by His command.

Now if these two women criticise Islam, instead of following Allah, then they will not get satisfaction and peace anywhere else. It's part of the Test set by God Almighty ALLAH that we are either accepting His ISLAM (ALL IN ONE PACKAGE OR BUNDLE, THERE IS NO SEPARATION FROM ANY OF ISLAM'S PARTS, THAT SOME I LIKE AND SOME I HATE OR CRITICISE) or we stand out clearly and obviously from the Path of ISLAM AND GOD. There is no middle path. It's like computer code, which either accepts or rejects.

I urge all people to accept Islam and it's way(THE SUPREMACY OF ALLAH'S WORDS OR QUR'AN AND THE PROPHET MUHAMMAD'S MISSION FOR MANKIND AS THE ONLY WAY FOR SUCCESS AND SALVATION IN THIS WORLD AND IN THE ETERNAL LIFE). Because you are not going to benefit from your opposition to Islam, however crookedly someone paints the "grim" picture for women in Islam or Islam itself. After all there is no such thing as regrets for any one who is a Muslim (man or woman) because if they are to regret about anything, that is their ignorance and wrongs against Islam and Allah Almighty. Today in this life, we have been given ONLY ONE Golden opportunity in this world to realise Allah's Holy words (Qur'an) but is there such a difficulty to understand it? How come, if you can understand such tough equations and theories of accounts, physics, mathematics etc, THEN WE CAN'T UNDERSTAND THE MESSAGE OF GOD ALMIGHTY ALLAH (IN QUR'AN). Allah gave Holy Books before Qur'an. The Zaboor or Psalms, Taurath or Torah, Injeel or Gospel and also many other small books to different Prophets-peace be upon them, who came before Final Prophet Muhammad -peace be upon him....again continued to next post

continued from previous post...Holy Qur'an summarises all the messages they gave and gives us more for the generations to come so that the mission of mankind on this earth, their eternal life as well do not be a failure. Because the maker of the machine gives a book for the user (user manual), Allah the Maker of Humans and the worlds, gave us the Divine Book of Al Qur'an, the Ever remaining, so precious asset that we all are not lost in this life and the next worlc (if only we see the world and our path through it's light)? So we can judge very easily by using the Qur'anic Judgement and principles that if men and women fail to bring their lives, their thoughts in tune with Allah's Book, then they are doomed for ever. Some temporal propaganda given to them by news channels or websites do not make them great with God Almighty Allah nor the Hell will not a residing place for them in the end of they do not repent to Allah and mend their ways as per His Call and Guidance.
We muslims don't have anything wrong thoughts against other humans. But if the other people put forth ridiculous claims and encourage the Hypocrites (Munafiqeen) and the Murtaddeens (those who have done apostasy) then we have the courage, time and will power to smash their dens.
Best of luck to all of us. Thanks.

What is the rewards for women who go to heaven? Do they get the same rewards as men?

Those are the infinite rights, my dear friend! See them as Sweets sees. Use her eyes if you 'lack'(sorry!) your own.
Then, when you see, let me also.
I do also lack the same, as you lack. We both are alike, you know!

It has similarities to the Stockholm syndrome (see: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stockholm_syndro... ).

People defending something that they deep-down know is wrong, but need to justify anyway in order not to face reality.

Is it a conditioned blindness or a willful blindness?

A bit of both. It is a natural reaction in some(!) people to handle things their brain is not conditioned to handle.
