TO WHATEVER RESCUE GROUP THAT IS HOLDING THIS
PUPPY, GET OVER YOURSELF, AND RETURN THAT PUP TO
THE PEOPLE YOU STOLE IT FROM!!!
FIRST OF ALL, IF I WAS WANTING TO ADOPT A PET
IN YOUR AREA, I WOULDN'T COME TO YOU BECAUSE YOU
EVIDENTALLY THINK YOUR EGO IS MORE IMPORTANT
THAN THE WELL BEING OF THE ANIMAL!!!!!!!!!
MOST SHELTERS ARE IN THE STRUGGLE OF FINDING GOOD HOMES FOR NEGLECTED AND MISTREATED AND STRAY
ANIMALS, EVIDENTALLY YOU AREN'T ONE OF THEM!
YOU SHOULD MAYBE RECONSIDER BEING IN THIS SERIOUS
BUSINESS AT ALL AND GIVE UP YOUR LICENSE TO
SOMEONE WHO GENUINELY CARES!!!!

Wow. I see that another easily influenced American has fallen victim to an egotistical celebrity's heart-wrenching cause of the week. Using her show as an outlet to air a grievance from Ellen's personal life is unfair and unprofessional. It spurs the bleeding heart radicals into aggressive action against her "enemies". How is Ellen's problem now your problem? If she can't follow the rules of the agency, then she ought to deal with the consequences like anybody else.

Amazing how celebrities use the media for there own personal gain. The winey woman should realize that it's her problem, not to be shared with the rest of the country. She should get off the air with her own personal problems as should all of the political celebrities like Cher, Streisand and Fonda.

I'm so sorry Ellen - it's glad that you want what is best for the dog. That's rediculous what they're doing! I raised dogs with my dad when I was six years old with my other older sisters (at that time would be eight and 10, I'm sure an 11 and 12 year old can handle feeding, giving water, taking out the dog to go potty, and loving it and playing with it. I know at one time I had 5 dogs (included beagles and coonhounds), a bird we rescued, and a stray orange cat - all at once. All of them were taken care of and healthy and happy (and I have lots of experience). My favorite dog, Smokey (beagle) recently died 10 days from his SIXTEENTH BIRTHDAY....I spent so much of MY money on him from medications to urgent visits to the hospital and surgeries (mind you I'm a full time college student paying for my OWN college along with truck insurance, truck payments, etc.)....I had him since I was 3 and he was a puppy. For this agency to believe it's unsafe for a dog to be with children under 14 is rediculous. There's (I'm sure) parental supervision anyway. There are people older than 14 that can be responsible enough, but sometimes there's cruel punishment by these "responsible" people even in their 40s, 50s, etc, that neglect. I believe this is in a way age discrimination - and a FAMILY includes parents, and children which LOVE that animal - shouldn't matter if the kids are under 14. When you have a bond with an animal for so long, it IS part of the family. When Smokey died in June - lets just say I still cry almost every day because he's a part of my heart and life that's missing - I don't see him sleeping beside my bed, or sniffing around the kitchen, or playing fetch...he's disappeared. I think if the dog was happy, didn't seemed harmed with the hairdresser's kids, and everything was going fine, then they had no right to intervene with happiness.

No right? Ellen should have followed the RULES. If she had followed procedure, that other family would probably have the dog now, once they passed a quality check from the agency. Now she's making her personal problem everybody else's.

I feel Ellen does have the best interest in the dog and that the Paws boutique is wrong instead of threats from this business the best thing to do is not patronize it nor give any donations of any kind.

TO THE AGENCY WHO TOOK BACK THIS DOG FROM A LOVING FAMILY..... OBVIOUSLY YOU DID THIS TO GET A BIT OF "CELEBRITY" FOR YOURSELVES, AS WE ALL KNOW, EVEN THE BAD PUBLICITY GETS RECOGNIZED (I.E. BRITNEY, LINDSEY, ETC) DO YOU REALLY BELIEVE ELLEN WOULD EVER DO ANYTHING TO PUT A DOG IN JEAPORDY? HER LOVE OF ANIMALS PUTS YOU TO SHAME! NOT ONLY HAVE YOU BROKEN THE HEART OF 2 LITTLE GIRLS, YOU HAVE BROKEN THE DOGS TRUST. OBVIOUSLY ELLEN WOULD NEVER HAVE DONE ANYTHING WRONG PURPOSEFULLY, PLEASE DO THE RIGHT THING AND GIVE THIS DOG BACK TO THIS FAMILY.

Honestly, the agency is there to find homes for pets that do not have them. So many pets need loving homes and they are going to PULL one from a loving home, where its bonded with the kids and cry contract? Those kids are well old enough, and the rule they placed is rediculous. I try to help with a rescue close to me that deals with another type of animal, and quite honestly, we would be thrilled that ellen gave it to a LOVING family. It shows she does have the dogs best interest at heart, and at least she didnt surrender him back. Contract or not.. the dog deserves to be where he bonded and thats with that woman and her two kids.. 10, 11, 12, 13 or 14.. shouldnt matter.. they are not toddlers and are at a great age to be responsible and loving for the dog. As far as drama, I think these people knew what they were doing, and I have a feeling this was a good way to get some advertisement, good or bad. either way they suck and dont deserve to have animals surrendered to them or to receive donations. Period.

That agency did nothing for publicity purposes. Ellen broke that story to get support from all the misanthropes that anthropomorphize their own pets. If you think an animal placement agency has no love for animals, then why are they in the business of making sure animals get a good home? Most folks assume that those kids are the only factor here. We don't know if there are other potential problems in that home. Do you think we should automatically side with Ellen just because she emoted on national television? And how the hell do you break a dog's trust, anyway? Is the dog commenting on all this news coverage?

What a shame that dog isn't given back!
It's apparently in a good loving home, so what's the problem? They are just on a power trip, that is more important to them than the fate of the poor pup or children.....It's a tug of war between Ellen and the Dog Adoption place, and they "have to win" at all costs! What cold hearted B's they must be! Give the damn dog back already!

Ellen has always been there for animals I don't think this organization ever watched her show, Yes I know rules are rules but if someone is there to love this dog this was cruel of this place and since Ellen does have the $$ I would call my lawyer. also I think they just want the media they don't care about the dog it is what they want in the media and I think the mutts are sick puppy's.

It's amazing to me that people can give their kids to whomever they want and there' s no rules, regulations or groups that step in and pull a kid out of the home. I was given to my Schizophrenic aunt at 4 months old, abused, to almost near death and not any family, school or social member steped in. That was some 50 years ago and even today, people can drop off their kids to criminal, drug infested, molesters, friends and or family and guess what its ok. Kids are left in abusive homes to keep the family together and its ok. Elderly are left with siblings everyday that lock them in homes without food or love.
And now Ellen G. does a responsible thing by giving a dog to a loving family and some organization has the the nerve to take the dog away. God, let me ask? just what do you think of that. Ellen and family, my prayers are with you to get your dog back.

I think Paws and moms or what ever should be investigated to see if they really follow the rules.....
