How to save the U.S. Postal Service

There are 24 comments on the The Washington Post story from Aug 10, 2012, titled How to save the U.S. Postal Service. In it, The Washington Post reports that:

The outside of the Old City Post Office in Washington, now the National Postal Museum, bears a noble inscription to the mail: "Bond of the Scattered Family/ Enlarger of the Common Life/ Carrier of News and Knowledge/ Instrument of Trade and Industry." It's a proud statement on what the mail used to be.

It has to do with letting the world know the truth about the postal service and WHY they are going out of business.
CRAPPY CUSTOMER SERVICE.
Privatize these *itches already and FIRE those arrogant fk workers who are giving them a bad name.
NO RETIREMENT for the pig workers who CONTINUALLY piss on the customer.
Let them apply at McDonald's.
Right.. give the jobs to good hardworking Republican voters with guns.. They can just shoot the dogs that bother them and guard the schools they go by as they deliver mail.

Show the country how reliably & efficiently, decent hard working right-wingers would do the job. Get rid of the needy greedy union workers and let real capitalists do it.

All you need to be hired is your Republican party card and your NRA card.

Let's save the postal Service with real Americans doing the work.!!!

One of the issues that need addressing: (#1) tracking that matters. Delivery confirmation on international orders is a joke, and not much better here in the US. Delivery confirmation means just that - not a note that the item reached customs. That is completely useless for all business purposes. If they do not have clear communications with whatever service handles the pkg between customs and the addressee, then maybe they shouldn't offer service to that location.

HELLO CONGRESS.
Why not send out suggestion cards to ALL the people who receive mail?
Then you'd get an idea of how PISSED OFF we are (and have been for YEARS) about the crap service we've had to endure from all of the postal pricks who abuse their federal protection in order to harass customers with impunity.
NO WONDER people are running to UPS and FEDEX in DROVES.
PRIVATIZE the USPS already and make the bad workers GO AWAY.
FED EX has sent 50 percent of political contributions to the Republican Party and UPS 53 percent!! Neither one of those businesses would have worked without the USPS "BYE USPS"! Privatizing would devastate the middle class, the working poor, the elderly and the majority of registered voters!!

You already saw what happened when a local fire department in Tennessee was privatized...don't you "BYE USPS"!?
