Just to keep the dialogue going... Carestream announced they will be closing the Film Finishing operation in Windsor, CO and move the product to Mexico, White City, Oregon and East Germany. Approximately 100+ people affected. So the slicing and dicing has started. Employees were guaranteed two years pay starting May 1, 2007 so you make the forecast on a formal layoff. I'm guessing May 1, 2009.

All the bad management that has pulled Kodak shareholders into the cesspool will escape with golden parachutes. The employees have been screwed, the customers have been screwed, and the shareholders have been screwed, but Perez and those responsible will be rewarded with millions of dollars in pay and bonuses derived from their cannabalization of the company. As I told you before, sell your Kodak stock now, before it dips below $20/share. The last time I looked it was under $21.

I hope Kodak shareholders took my advice and sold their stock, as it lost over $1/share today, more than 5%, and closed well below $20/share.

Gotta love the same old same old. Look in the paper to see yet another round of layoffs at Carestream! UNREAL! The entire place seems numb to the layoffs where it really is numbing. Wonder when the round to hit Rochester mfg will be? I am thinking end of June. Takers?

The Canucks just figured out that they got snookered on a dying horse. Much blood letting to come. As Film dies, Carestream dies. No really new products in the last 5 years. What the heck were they thinking?

well the latest round of layoffs have removed the glue that held it all together. They have created a snowball rolling downhill and won't be able to stop it. With these layoffs everybody is posting their resume and will leave an unfillable hole that will sink this company. When the aquisition happened we all said "oh no they bought the bad management along with the good." If we would have been purchased by a real mediacal imaging company like Toshiba, GE, Phillips, they would have dumped all the golden parachute seeking executives and cleaned it up. there is no hope.

Are you sending email on Swedish technology or something those other US companies invented?? Hard to argue with a country known only for ancient viking pillagers and perfecting the meatball.

Well well, I will be rather soft on you today >First, Volvo, stands for quality, any american that even come close to it? ice hockey, Detroit Red Wings, If I am not mistaken that team contained eight Swedish players talking about technology, are you still using modem or have you moved to broadband as we speak??*smile* Coming back to Kodak, I think they should have moved the head quarter out of rochester long long time ago, perhaps better of it they would have relocated to Sweden?? Ikea, H&M, ABB, Ericsson, Volvo, SAAB etc etc

Ikea, H&M, ABB, Ericsson, Volvo, SAAB etc etc You prove my point..... Volvo belongs to Ford since 1999. Someone in Sweden screwed up there. Why didn't those 8 Swedes play on the NHL championship Swedish hockey team?.. Oh..None in Sweden. What Swedish IT company invented the internet that you use? Like I said, Kodak is and has been a dog for 35 years. It just goes to show you that when you invent something and then go to sleep for 120 years and create nothing new....bad things finally happen.

Kodak's price per share is now less than half what it was when they sold the Healthgroup. What a great decision that was by Perez and company!
