What nonsense ! If he REALLY want to SQUARE OFF WITH THE UNIONS ... and do the right (and necessary) thing, he wouldn't be talking about stopping benefit BOOSTS or SWEETENERS, he would be talking about the REALLY REALLY BIG and IMMEDIATE REDUCTIONS needed in Pensions and Retiree Benefits for CURRENT as well as new employees. If they were reduced 50%, they would STILL be much greater than the average of such benefits for private sector workers who are the TAXPAYERS who PAY FOR the civil servant's benefits.

Just more lip service !

At first I was hopeful. But you are probably correct. I am leaving New York as soon as I can.
