I really hope to see a flat-tax system introduced. My family lives on the border right now, with inflation through the roof, and major economic forces creating havoc with my net income.

I was better off 10 years ago making $10-$12 an hour.

Hey that sounds like real news. What happened to the reporters who only cover animal abuse and where sex offenders are living?

If the state wants to crack down on useless spending than why don't they look at their pay checks. No one politician deserves one dollar more than minimum wage, with the exception of the prez. who can get twice that amount. Enough is enough!!!! Let the executive branch live like the rest of the country and see how hard it really is to live!!

The State wants more, more, more ....anyway they can rip off the tax paying public to get as much tax money from us as they can --- instead they need to learn how to spend our tax dollars more wisely....but they do not care its not their money they are wasting …..nothing amazes me anymore….

Does this remind you of a republic we once fought to get away from? Then Sam Addams taxed liquor and started the whole mess again. There will never be a plan to spend wisely as long as we treat politician like millionaires and keep them in powerful positions. They need to feel as if they are very replaceable and not "all that" (like some Kennedy's do). Politician need to held accountable, more so than the public is, for example... no more driving to liquid lunches, and if you are like exgov. E.Spitzer you go to jail no questions asked. Look at the John Kennedy Jr. He goes and flies a plane he is NOT licensed to fly, kills his wife and sister in law, we then go and retrieve said plain with passengers, cremate them and send them off into the deep blue whence they came (at tax payers expense I might add) and Jr. is not even charge with a crime.. What gives? Every other person in the US would've been charged with at least reckless endangerment. No politician is held accountable for their actions and it needs to come to an end NOW!!!

I want to know how NH and a couple of other states can have (0%)no state tax and thrive and NY has the highest tax in the country and be in such a mess? Look at the roads, economy, taxes, what a mess. I also thought the lottery was supposed to take half the winnings and give it to schools to lighten the tax load? What's up NY?
