Buying American-made goods, for some it's more than patriotism

Made in the USA. Words that carry a lot of weight for many Americans this year. Not just because of the war in Iraq and a struggling economy.

I was happy to see the websites mentioned in the article and advertised on this page. They come at an opportune time. I have a grandson and in a few months it will be time for toys and I will feel much happier buying toys made here, without lead. I may even buy some stuff for myself.

It was so much easier to be a parent before finding out about all of the things we are using to poison our children. Had to toss the melamine plates, the leaded toys, the plastic sippy cups. Now we're all stainless steel and glass - Made in the USA Corelle, CorningWare, Thermos and Pyrex.
