I believe Search Engine Optimazation can be done in-house but why do a company takes a part of its business and gives that part to another company, which in a way the process is called Outsourcing.

Although the main objective of outsourcing is often cost reduction, still SEO professionals and specialists alike are closely accustomed to acquiring top-level search engine results for all their clients is the reason why companies prefer SEO outsourcing.

Priority placement and top rankings is a daily, on-going struggle when you are a professional SEO specialist. The SEO field, as a whole, needs to keep up with ever-changing technology and also has to be familiar with other web site marketing techniques such as banner ads, pay-per-click programs and even some offline advertising options. Meaning, they need to have somebody who is doing a job mainly on SEO.

Great comment, aov_fleur ....

Some time back I predicted that SEO will almost go the way of "the Blacksmith", IF they don't come up to "scratch" with Ads Networks and the fundalmental "change" upon us ....

They need to "re-invent" themselves by "morphing into" a "Local Ads Network" type business, and "hook-up" with the likes of Looksmart.

By doing this, it will empower them to "place" SMB's (in their existing and future "stable"), within a 'local-ised' manner/fashion on published pages,(via IP recogniton),or, placement on or, across ideal "contextualised" content, and coming from Global publisher sites, far and wide .... IMHO.

The days of SEO specialising in (just), the BIG search Portals are "on the way out", as was previously predicted.

Well, SEO aka Search Engine Optimization is a long run and some people just have no time for it or to some, they are either clueless how about SEO or these people are lazy to do it. I mean why have a hard time and/or waste time on it if one has the money? If they can afford it, why not? That way it be easier for them...

SEO is NOT "rocket science" .... It has plenty of "bad" form behind it, almost on par with "click fraud" .....(it's called,'shitting in your own nest", BTW).

IF existing SEO businesses can't see the "light" that is as I have suggested, others quickly will.

Both "Local and National" newspapers, magazines and ISP's (Internet Service Providers) with ready-made 'infrastructure' in place, will make their "move" and become those "mini Ads Network providers" as described, before "you can blink an eye"....

But only an opinion, as always.
