Mrs. Kravitz is alive & well, working for the city of Hastings, peeking out from behind her curtains, wringing her hands in despair over "adult" businesses coming to-GASP-her hometown!
Oh, Mrs. Kravitz! Aren't there some church get-togethers that need a hotdish or two? get in the kitchen and stop peeking out at your neighbors.

Is there nothing we could do about this matter? I mean if this keeps up, eventually the effects will be felt by everyone and by then it would be too late to change it.

We can't do anything about the reality. It is a reality now that companies nowadays hired people who are well-educated than those who are less-educated. Less-educated workers are now needed in companies who hires skilled workers than educated workers, thus well-educated workers would be looking for jobs that would fit for what they have studied and to companies who pays high compare to less-educated. Though I could also say that there are too many less-educated workers who are more intelligent and more deligent in working than to well-educated workers.
